The guy talked about all they could do for me, as well as the other contractors he would put me in touch with to do other work that was outside his area. When he left, he said he would get me an estimate in a week. That was mid-March. 2.5 weeks later, I called and was told he was working on it. I called again 3 weeks later, got the same guy, and he told me he would get it to me the next day. It is now 3 months later and have never heard back. My external wood doors are now cracked and peeling much worse than they were in March...this company is unreliable and unprofessional and I was an idiot for waiting for them to come through. Be very wary of working with them and any commitments they make, if this is how they treat a potential customer. I understand if you don't want the job...be professional and tell me so I know to look elsewhere.

We are out of town owners and needed to get our rental house painted. After call several painters,…read morethat said they would give us a quote and never showing up, we were running short on time. Mastercraft was able to accommodate us before we had to leave town. We had a paint peeling problem on the front siding that we had other painters paint in the past but it kept peeling. Mastercraft strip it down to bare wood, re-primed it and applied a finish coat. Looks a lot better the before, not perfect, but better than anyone else had done. The Mastercraft team also took a while to start the job (4 weeks). On the plus side, once they start the job they stay on it until it was finished. Our house, with all the prep, took 4 and a half days start to finish. Mastercraft seems to be a family business as the estimator/projects manager was Kyle Dargert and the boss in the office was Jay Dargert. They were very helpful and appeased us with our request for additional paperwork once the job was done. Completed job: https://goo.gl/photos/YXXqTsUNucdpK6Qv9

It was supposed to be some special coating for concrete and they guaranteed that it would not do this. WRONG! They over-sprayed the coating onto our garage door and our stucco, neither did they take care of. Very sloppy work. The garage floor is okay, but for a few $$$ more they could have added a cove on the sides (to make for a finished look), and a second coat of the sealer (to make it a smooth surface). Neither of these was offered to me. Don't even get me started about the scheduling. They never got back to me re: a date and time to do the work. They just showed up one morning with all of their equipment and expected to get to work on the garage. We had nothing cleared out and to make it worse, my wife and I were sick in bed when they showed up, making it really inconvenient. Jay is impossible to deal with. If you are looking for a professional, this place is NOT it.

We are perfectionists but were hard pressed to find even a single flaw in the job. This was a tricky job as things were in pretty bad shape beforehand, with a number of damaged walls and cabinets. Now, everything looks as good as new! Also, amazingly enough I never even met Jim in person before he completed the job. I live in the bay area so it is sometimes hard for me to get up to Tahoe because of work. Jim has great communication skills and it was easy to go over all of the details with him over the phone. He is totally honest and, even though I wasn't there to check on things during the job, took care of all the details we discussed and did not cut any corners on quality. And, he finished the job exactly on time at exactly the price we had agreed upon. I couldn't recommend Jim any more highly, and in fact plan to hire him again to paint my house in the bay area if he is able to come down.

In terms of the classic "cheap/fast/good: choose 2" these guys were definitely on the cheap+good end of things- the job took 3 weeks- but I wanted thorough prep and I got it.
