Fast service, dependable, good with animals and reasonably priced. Would recommend Ryan to any horse owner.

My OTTB has VERY difficult feet. Back in 2016 I was on a waiting list for 4 months to get in with…read moreRick. My horse's feet have been consistently fantastic since Rick started working on them. Zero lameness, zero issues, beautiful balanced feet every single shoeing/trim. Then Rick moved across the country . I've had a heck of a time finding a replacement farrier. I'm on my third one in 10 months. The man I'm working with now shows some promise and Rick is kind enough to coach him over FaceTime to get my boy's feet back on track. If you're able to get on Rick's rotation, your search will be over. He is a great guy, and he truly cares about the well-being of our horses. He's an expert in his field, and his California clients are suffering without him. Huge loss.

Rick was my farrier for 10 years, before he moved to Florida! Rick is the most knowledgeable and…read moreprofessional farrier I ever did meet and by the looks of it the best I ever will meet... He started with me and my boy Cashew in 2013. Cashew was a rescue. Severly underweight and always foot sore. After i got weight on him and multiple vets visits (that diagnosed him with navicular at 4 years old) I set out to find a barefoot farrier that stayed up-to-date with the newest information regarding anything horse hoof related!! I found Rick and I NEVER turned back! Cashew was on Eqioxx and still always foot sore when Rick first started working on him. 2 trims later he came off the Equioxx and after about a years worth of trims Cashew no longer had pancake feet and he stopped being lame!! Over the next several years we went on to do extreme trail rides 15-25 miles at a time barefoot, barrel racing barefoot and all with zero hoof pain and I know none of that would have been possible without the dedication that Rick had to always keep himself in the know about new information and his extreme dedication to ALWAYS making sure the angles were right (admittedly to the point of obssession) which was always ok with me!! And this was just 1 of my horses!! I have 3 horses all with very different hooves as well as 2 minis that he did amazing jobs on!! He also has an amazing personality and knowledge. And every conversation with Rick was a delight whether it was about hooves, horses, dogs, nutrition or anything else!! He has been gone for about 8 months and I have gone through 3 farriers and still looking for another because no one seems to be as dedicated to the newest information and science on hooves as well as the angles like Rick was (See last picture of current hoof situation). You honestly cannot go wrong with Rick! He is greatly missed here in Southern California. But my loss is certainly your gain!!! Ceila, Cashew, Swiss, Jojo, Grizzly, and Houston
