They gave us back the fee but their price is 50% higher than the place we use now. The place we use now is just as nice and they don't try to add on extra fees for extra services. As a side comment - This business has been 'targeted' for a smear campaign by some very unfair people who for some reason have 'piled' on this small family business. Topic - DIAGNOSED INCORRECTLY- $1500 later Highlight of…read morethis long message - Martinez proceeded to say " transparency doesn't make money but we are straight forward with our patience anyone else could've said oh there was a something in his nose and you would've paid no problem" Up until today, I have not had a bad experience with the vet Martinez. My dog was breathing through his nose as if it was stuffy - To clarify my dog's issues (Maltese) - he was completely fine. Playing with the other dogs, eating, drinking, and use the bathroom as usual. It literally just sounds like a stuffy nose. He told me it could be 1of4 things. Infection, something is stuck in his nose, a tooth abscess, or tumor. He said VERBATIM - " it can ONLY be 1 of those 4 things not a 5th option not 10 different options - only these 4" Now of course hearing that you pray it's just an infection. He prescribed antibiotics to take for 10 days. There was no change - no worse or better. He said since we have no improvements he said Im sorry guys this is not the news we wanted so now we should take the next steps. He quoted us between $1722.30-$2385.30 With that qoute it covered all ranges of possibilities of the 3 other options excluding infections. After seeing that I was like look - since it didn't get worse let's try another round of antibiotics. During that round we can plan if we have no other choice to go with the plan quoted to us. After those 10 days with different antibiotics and steroids, again - no change. No better or worse. We ended up scheduling the appointment for what was qouted - this was to look at the ONLY other 3 option since infection was ruled out. Today was the appointment - dropped him off for his procedures. I receive a call to pick him up at a certain time and was told the total of $1500 and then get another call from the vet Martinez. Martinez said - I have some frustrating but good news. There wasn't anything wrong with the teeth, nothing was lodged in his nose, and I didn't see a tumor. I said so what was it. He said - Nothing. I've never expected that. It was just hard mucus and dry blood. What we did was flush it was a lot of saline. I asked so because it was just mucus, is that something that would've healed on its own? He said within two months it could've cleared naturally. We hung up and at the time of the of the pick up I spoke to him in person and asked the question ANYONE would ask. I said - given the outcome of nothing - is there any flexibility on this bill? After asking the question, i stated - We were told there were only four possible reasons he can be this way. It being Nothing wasn't an option. Because there wasn't anything really wrong or causing him harm we would have waited if we were told "nothing" was a possibility. I also said - i was never for the procedure and was willing to wait which I why I asked for a second round of antibiotics. The only reason we agreed to any of it because we were told DEFINITIVELY the ONLY possible answer was something in his nose, an abscessed, or tumor. He kept repeating - oh this is your baby, it was better we checked now rather than later because what if it was a tumor. He proceeded to say " transparency doesn't make money. We are straight forward with our patience's, anyone else could've said oh there was a blade of grass you you would've paid no problem" He said I'll try to help you I felt like we just got scammed and bamboozled into a procedure we didn't need. He deducted $50. Slap in the face. I would like to note - I have other dogs and I love them all to pieces. People might say "iF yOu caNt aFforD iT doNt hAVe dOgs. Not the point - we can afford it. The situation was not fair. Also - my dog sounds the same. We were told he packed his nostrils with antibiotics and it should last for 2 weeks. I will give an update if nothing changes but at this moment he still has same issues $1500 later.

Richard and De Pet Sitters Port Saint Lucie…read more There's absolutely no way under any circumstances that we could hold back and express our love, gratitude and appreciation for Port Saint Lucie Pet Sitters, Richard & De Green. We moved here about a year and a half ago along with our three elder pet chihuahuas whom we count as "family." Unfortunately, after a battle with congestive heart failure, last July, we lost our little Koko, we now have two... Cozy and Mickey. Mickey was diagnosed with an enlarged heart and although he's about 16 years old now he's doing overall pretty good according to his vet. What we are having a hard time controlling is his cough, but we have Faith and a steady schedule around the clock of medication. I travel across the country for work as a photographer and videographer and recently, I had a trip. Unfortunately, while away, my husband had a complication with what should have been a "simple" procedure. There was nothing simple about it however. Days after his procedure he had to return to his drs. office and eventually it worsened and he could no longer stay away from the Emergency Room. Then.....it happened! They admitted my husband! Keep in mind I'm clear across the country and now we have our two dogs at home, and Mickey on crucial medication. So, now I'm freaking out, but thankful that recently we had Richard and De pet sit our pups while we had a job in Palm Beach Gardens. Not only had I seen the plethora and amazing feedback here on Nextdoor, I myself witnessed the care in responding to potential seekers and their professionalism as well as courtesy. I immediately called them and to make matters even more wonderful, they live in our community! So, here I am frantic, across the country, in a different time zone and DESPERATE! The persons that popped up in my head .... Richard & De! I knew that at the time it was close to 3am in Florida and I dare NOT call them... however, I sent them a message via NextDoor and hoped they'd see it in the am. To my amazement, and at nearly 3am , they immediately replied! the first thing in De's response was "we will be there, how do we gain access?!" I was blown away!!!! Turns out they were at the airport themselves and were getting ready to go home. I can't begin to tell you the relief! The next morning they arrived at our home and immediately got to work with taking pups out and giving Mickey his meds. Because our pups knew them, they were comfortable and at ease, and so was mom and dad (while he sat in a bed at the hospital). Richard and De are the epitome of human kindness as God intended! They love to help and they love your pets I say this with 100% certainty and we could not have been blessed more abundantly. Major props too as they send text updates with photos! This is not just a fun gesture it is key because we all know our pets and we know even from an expression on a photo if they are at ease, content or otherwise. Our pups were at ease! And cozy was snuggling with Richard and De....Mickey was nice and not his usual grumpy self, that says a lot since he's never quite been a cuddler. I could go on and on but you will see many here love and rave about them! We are part of their cheering team and we have found THE BEST pet sitters and neighbors ! Please consider contacting them to come meet, greet with you and your pets and you will see what we mean! They also offer personal assisting with rides, errands and transportation, bottom line, they want to help in our community. Easily 5 !!! Highly recommended !!
