They stayed for extended periods when we needed them for our use. The reason we were given for the long duration was that they simply did not have personnel to service them, as we were told when we purchased. In good conscience, I could not recommend them at all for service and would stay away, as we have learned.

Finally, we sent an email to the owner, Stephen Shealy, and in August 2022 he responded that he would order a replacement seat. From August 2022 until May 2023, we never heard another word. We called a few times to check on the status of the seat, but we were not able to speak with Mr. Shealy and no one else could give us any information. ***BUYER BEWARE*** I purchased a golf cart and specifically asked if the batteries were new. I was…read moretold everything on the cart was "re-done" and new. I immediately had problems and contacted them. They just kept telling me other things I needed to buy. Finally, feeling desperate, I called the manufacturer of the batteries and they told me how to find the date stamp. Turns out, the batteries I was told were "new" were five years old and had no life left in them when I purchased them. I spoke to the owner, Kevin Stillinger, (respectfully giving him the opportunity to "right this wrong") and he refused unless I paid $150 for him to pick up the cart, another $150 to bring it back and then pay for whatever they diagnose the problem to be. I have opened a complaint with the South Carolina Better Business Bureau for unethical business dealings. Palmetto Kustom Kartz saw me as an "easy target" because I am a woman, they lied to me about the batteries, and didn't like that I called the manufacturer to find out the truth. This business practices fraudulent dealings and refuses to stand by their employees word. #CORRUPT.

I am very satisfied with the purchase of a used golf cart. When I called to ask if they had any…read moregas-powered ones the woman who answered the call transferred me to MJ, who was a wonderful sales person. He gave me a lot of detailed information on one he had in the shop that was ready to go. I'd called around a lot of other places and knew his price was one of the lowest for that year and model. No one else gave any details on the phone they just would give a price and say they had one. So my husband and I went out there and MJ let us test drive the cart and offered some suggestions on things to swap out so that it would handle our somewhat steep path to the dock. He impressed me with how much he knew about the carts. My husband asked some technical questions, and he had all the answers. The cart was ready by the end of the week, much earlier than expected. We have had it for a month now and it's been great. Our experience with this shop has been outstanding. And the receptionist was very pleasant to me on the phone so I'm not sure if she's the same one that other seem to be complaining about. I can only speak from my experience.
