My fingers are curling and I can't flex my wrist. PF didn't want to diagnose me because they didn't want to be the ones to go against the sergons' notes. The young lady that took my blood pressure, pulse and tempature was very nice and professional. The overall look of this place is really nice. My room was clean and welcoming. The doctor, Dr. Carla McLain, was awesome. She was very confident, knowledgeable, and professional. Very pleased with this clinic. They can see patients from 3 months and up, so I made an appointment for myself and my 3 year old. They gave us full thorough exams, Covid tests, and prescribed medicine RIGHT FROM MY LIVING ROOM. We didn't have to move! This is perfect if you're sick. I had written off urgent cares because I had had terrible experiences with them missing very important illnesses and putting my health at risk. Now this is the ONLY Urgent Care service I will use.

My 92 year old mother was a patient at HDH/Forest for 10 days for CHF and AFib. Firstly, she was…read moreadmitted to an Oncology/Med Surg Unit for heart issues and did not receive a telemetry box for at least 18 hours. The nursing / hospitalist care was horrific. She received too much IV Lasix by day-3 and was weak, shaky, and severely dehydrated. Nurses were instructed by the cardiologist to give all her meds before her Cardioversion and she didn't receive any (including her blood thinner). Also, when one of her blood thinner pills fell to the floor, the male nurse told her she could skip it for the day. She was left alone in her room at the end of the hall with the door closed tightly when she became disoriented, agitated, and confused. One morning, her 9am pills were still sitting on her table at 12:30pm bc the nurse didn't make sure she took them (when she was confused). When the "nurse" was confronted about her untaken meds and the door being closed, she put her hand in my face and walked away stating she was "going to give me a minute". She had to use the call button repeatedly to ask for help reaching her food tray, only to be ignored, and finally received help when the hospitalist came in her room. She did not receive any hygiene or oral care unless I asked for clean sheets, washcloths, and towels, and then I did the care for her - not the employees. Apparently, hygiene and oral care is no longer a routine part of nursing care and patients can go days without it, unless they have an advocate to facilitate it. Every day she was a patient at HDH she became weaker and had more issues. Finally, there was a huge cockroach in her bathroom that I smashed with my shoe. The nurse manager argued that it was a water bug...it was NOT. This is actually the second time I've seen a cockroach in this hospital. I have vowed to never return to this God-awful facility and have asked my family (and you) to go somewhere else if they want to live. For a previous ER Visit for my 92 year old mother with CHF and shortness of breath (on 12/16/25), the ER physician told us that "her case really isn't an emergency because the ER is for traumas, gun shot wounds, and heart attacks", but he proceeded to give her IV Lasix and admit her for CHF. I injured my shoulder/arm and went through the extended care facility. I arrived at 1:37pm (there were four people ahead of me), was taken to the back to a room at 3:00ish pm. Nikta Safavi, PA-C saw me at 3:45pm and ordered x-rays (mind you x-rays closes at 4:00pm). I was taken back for x-rays, back in the room by 4:20 and waited till 4:50pm for the Safavi to come back to the room and tell me no broken bones. Safavi wanted to prescribe me medicine that I explained to her I could not take (she still prescribed it), never submitted the prescription I could take or the referral for an Ortho visit. I had to call multiple times to get the medication and the referral. While Safavi was pleasant she came across unsure and not very confident in what she was doing. I was surprised to learn she has been a PA for a number of years. Perhaps she was just having a bad day? I do know I will not use the Extended Clinic for any future walk-in visit.

The "Extended" in the name of the practice is dead on, though . . . The wait times are usually atrocious, and when I have finally been seen by a medical professional, rarely do I feel that adequate treatment was provided . . . In particular, I will single out Natalie Fachet as being problematic . . . Her personality and bedside manner are lacking and need work, and the level of care I received from her was not thorough or even adequate . . . Twice I have been misdiagnosed and treated poorly (or not at all!) for conditions insufficiently addressed or even ignored, and on several occasions I have felt that the quality of care rendered that day was missing something . . . However, CEC is not nearly as bad as Patient First, so there's that!
