Our experience with RV Arcade and William in particular, was fantastic! My wife booked the RV Arcade for our son's 9th birthday party. We had 15 kids aged 7-10 and some parents. William showed up early to setup and was ready at the appointed time. He checked with me ahead of time about what games we would be playing (he suggested shelving the 'mature rated' games). The bus was clean and spacious. There was more than enough room for everyone and the climate control worked fine. The seating is comfortable and kids can double up by sitting on the top of the long bench seating. William was very professional and helped the kids the entire time. We would switch out games, provide instruction and just play along with everyone. Long review worth reading.... We had my son's 9th birthday with RV Arcade. I went through Yelp to find a Game Truck that would be able to set up at a park in Culver City. I spoke to William on the phone and went over party details. I also gave him some background on our son and the reason why it was so important that we host our party at a park. My son has Autism. We moved to Los Angeles 2 years ago and battled the school district for 7 months upon moving here. My son was placed in a Special Day Class through the Torrance school district. He was placed with children who have severe disabilities and a lack of social skills. He is very social btw! He came home depressed everyday saying he had no friends:( It was very hard on our family. Gabe missed out on a birthday party that year. We went through one dreadful IEP after another and finally prevailed. We won our case and my son is now attending Summit View in Culver City. He has blossomed there and has more friends than I do. We were so excited to plan a game truck party for our little gamer and his new pals from school. Summit View kids live all over Los Angeles and we live far away. Our home was not an option for hosting this party. We had to do it after school and close to the school. When I called Culver City Parks & Recreation they said no game trucks can set-up at the park unless they have a business permit. I'm the emotional mom and called my husband and ask that he reach out to William. My husband called William and told him about the business permit. William told my husband that it seemed like a lot of work. My husband told him it would be and then shared our story. William assured my husband that he would go to Culver City Parks & Rec the following week to apply for his business permit. He did and also paid for additional insurance! I've had a long journey with my son who has Autism. I've been so blessed to meet angels throughout this journey. William and Jared are some of those angels. I was at a birthday party with RV Arcade. After having a great experience with a different truck for my own sons's birthday party, I was expecting the same level of service and niceties. I felt William was a little rude with one of my sons who has having a meltdown and was especially rude to my other son, who happens to be on the autism spectrum, when all he wanted to do was come onto the bus with his iPad in hand to see what everyone was doing. William would not let him on the bus and after a few attempts by my son to try and get on, William finally snapped at him. Our daughters are 9 and 10 years old. We had a group of about 21 kids ranging in age from 6 to 15, boys and girls, and they all LOVED the RV Arcade and had a great time together. It was very interactive amongst the kids, and William was right there and made sure every kid had an excellent time. They were completely safe and engaged and the adults were in the house marveling at the silence and opportunity for adult conversation. But beyond kids, I honestly think this would be a great party for grown-ups. Especially those of us who don't consider ourselves gamers, it would be a fun way to see what it's all about. And if there are gamers in the group, just like the older and younger kids, there is lots of opportunity for interaction in the comfy lounge-like space of the RV. This is an amazing concept, and very well-run. The RV is beautiful and clean and very snazzy.
