Mary Beth was very prompt! What a novelty, right?…read more Her knowledge of the piano was great and if she was unsure (we have an upright and she wasn't sure how to take the panel off, but did indeed figure it out), she is not embarrassed to say so and take her time to find the answer. Our piano that was in storage for over three years now sounds fabulous once more. As others have mentioned, Mary Beth did offer various scenarios of 'what could happen' since it's been a while since it was tuned. She then went on to explain why it could benefit from a more in depth service so that even this non-piano player understood it all. We will definitely be partaking of Mary Beth's services from now on and recommend you do as well.

Wow--I couldn't be happier with Mary Beth's services! :D…read more I'm the proud owner of a Yamaha CP-70B, a rare stage piano that, instead of a soundboard, sports pickups under all the strings and plugs in to a guitar amplifier. I mostly play classical, and it works surprisingly well to this end. I'd just moved the instrument from Denver to Sterling, VA, and and top of that I hadn't tuned it for nearly a year. It was in dire need of some TLC. While I'm capable of tuning the instrument myself (and doing a decent job of it for an amateur), I decided I'd rather save myself the hassle and hire a pro, so I found Mary Beth here on Yelp. She arrived to our appointment precisely on time. She spiffed up a few of the frictive keys with some lubricant, marveled at the unusualness of my instrument, and then proceeded to fulfill my equally unusual tuning request: Thomas Young's well temperament @ A=432Hz (well temperaments, you might be interested to know, are well-suited to classical/romantic/baroque music, because while all keys remain playable, each key possesses its own character, and pieces from this era were written to take advantage of those characters, whereas in modern equal temperament, all keys sound exactly the same). I don't know whether she'd performed such a tuning before, but she happily obliged me. I left to perform some errands, and about an hour and a half later she called me to let me know she had finished (wow, tuning it myself usually takes like four hours!). Upon first touch, the sonority of my modest little instrument absolutely captivated me! Never before has it sounded quite like this, so enchanting, so charming, so charismatic in all its registers. Proof? Proof's right here! https://soundcloud.com/steven-clauson/op-48-no-2-sample My Chopin's a little rusty as a result of not having played much piano in about a year, but now that my instrument sounds so wonderful I'm going to be playing it every single day. I know I've found my go-to tuner. Thank you so much, Mary Beth!

Scott Grassmyer, the owner of Freedom Movers and is based in Sarasota, FL came highly recommended…read moreby a close friend of mine. She had used him for two out of state moves and was really happy with his efficiency and professionalism. So I booked him to move me from my 10 x 20 storage unit in New Orleans, LA to my new home in St. Petersburg, FL. On Monday, a day and a half before my scheduled move date with Scott, he called me to tell me his truck had broken down and he was waiting on parts to get it fixed. I asked him how long it would delay him and he said probably a day or two. As I was on a time schedule, a delay with an open ended date didn't work for me. So I lined up another option for my move and asked him if he would do the unloading as promised on Friday morning. He made all kinds of excuses as to why he couldn't make this happen. He didn't want to do the unloading as he was only going to make a fraction of what he would have made if he did the entire move. His broken truck left me to scramble to figure out another last minute option, but he didn't want to pivot and help me with the unloading on the same day he would have been doing the unloading with his original commitment. Bottom line, don't use Scott Grassmyer and Freedom Movers.

A lot of these people can barely play 4 songs... Fletcher Music starts you off with a little keyboard/organ and keep telling you that you need more. "We'll buy your "old" keyboard and you can upgrade to this new (more expensive) one." They talk fast and shove papers to be signed in front of people while telling them that they need to upgrade or else they'll never get better! And they keep you on the same payment plan without making it clear that you'll be making payments for longer than you originally signed up for. Mom finally did the math and realized she'd been conned. They then clean up the used keyboard and sell it for NEW!!! Taking advantage of the elderly is disgusting and these people should be run out of town. My mom has since passed, leaving us with a $30,000 boat anchor that Fletcher won't buy back and literally no one wants. We had a hard time even giving it away and it was only three years old and barely used! Scum of the earth taking advantage of the elderly. But that IS their business model.
