Ken is fighting the good battle for all of the local musicians. Local drum and guitar experts that destroys purchasing on-line because it doesn't arrive at the whims of an Amazon or UPS driver's potential mishandling. The value of knowledge and history of experience cannot be replaced from a professional technician that knows and cares about you and what you are experiencing when you practice or perform. Give him your business and you will be better because of it! read more

My wife and I have been playing guitar for a good year. YouTube videos mostly and some other online instruction and felt like we were getting no-where fast. It just didn't sound like music to us. Well, for the past 5 weeks we have been working with Jud at Ace Drums. It's like someone turned on a light! Still wouldn't call us actual guitar players. But sometimes when you don't listen too, too closely... you guessed it... Music! Thanks Jud! read more

Ken is a great guy at Ace Drums! Everyone there was very friendly to me. They set me up right!! I'll definitely be back!! read more

Trust in Ace Drums for a professional setup on guitars, great job, would highly recommend them. Don't be fooled by the name, it's not all about just drums, they have all kinds of equipment for your needs. Thanks again Ace! read more

Ken and Peter are the best. He has the gear and knows what he is talking about

I have seen some old reviews criticizing this business, but I've had nothing but good experiences there. Ken was helpful in choosing some appropriate drum accessories for my great nephew on more than one occasion. I've taken guitar lessons from Jud, and found him to be pleasant and very interested in what I wanted to accomplish. The luthier, whose name escapes me right now, has done some excellent adjustments on some of my guitars. Overall customer service is great and anyone interested should give this place a try. read more

As a senior person looking to expand and improve my musical abilities on the guitar two years ago, I finally found a music store where the owner and staff are all interested in serving the customer. I have purchased several guitars as my abilities have improved thanks to the personal lessons at Ace Drum, and their interest in my continued satisfaction. They have everything in stock from instruments. amplifiers, drum sets, accessories all of kinds, lessons for young and old, and a staff luthier, and the entire staff are highly skilled musicians. It doesn't get any better than Ace Drum. You'll love the staff and become a loyeal customer like me. read more

Huge shoutout! to Ken and Pete at ace drums, I have done business in the past with Ken and just had my guitar setup and throughly inspected by a luthier musician, the work done was a superior setup on my guitar. And they are just real cool guys. Want work done right GO THERE. read more

Every time we go in the staff is always helpful, most times if its an easy fix they do it while you are waiting. Always willing to share their knowledge. They did a great repair of my sons guitar neck. read more

The people are amazing at Ace Drums, they are all about the kids and keeping music alive! Great selection of guitars, if they don't have it they find one that is perfect for or your kid. I was glad to see another music store open in the area and on first look this place seemed to be a little better than the local competition with regards to selection and staff friendliness. Unfortunately this guy's got a bad attitude and treats customers poorly. This isn't good for the people who've given him instruments to sell on consignment - if you've left something with them to sell you should think about taking it elsewhere. Based on my experience (see below) they don't care if your gear sells or not. On my second visit to the store I found an acoustic bass I was interested in. I came back home to do some research (I'm a guitar player who needs a bass for backing tracks) and found that brand new Dean Exotica acoustic/electric basses sell for half of what Ace was asking for his. I went back the same afternoon to try and learn why the asking price was double that of a new bass. I figured maybe the online models I'd been looking at were different from the one for sale, i.e. the model at Ace had different features etc. Here's where Ace fell apart - I asked him (Ace/Ken/Owner) about the difference to which he replied in a very sarcastic & condescending manner, "man I don't know, it's on consignment; I don't ask questions!". It was his delivery that put me off; customer service is dying and this guy is a prime example of that fact. Funny thing is, if he'd taken a few minutes to try and answer my questions and/or point out why this one was more expensive I'd probably have walked out with it at the full asking price. Too bad for the guy who owns the bass, too bad for me & too bad for Ace. I'll never walk back in that store. read more

WOW, this is the first time I have seem these reviews,,,,,, gotta tell ya. The guys at ACE Drums have ALWAYS treated me with full respect, and have been quite knowledgeable. I deal with them very often, from just a set of guitar strings to a mega-buck PA system. I wonder if the guys with the negative comments can even spell music ??? read more

Ken helped me with my first drumkit and has been wonderful throughout, i have asked him many questions, noobie questions and he is always kind and patient truly lisitng to my questions and concern's and addressing them professionally with intrest and care. I will never go anywhere else for my future equipment as long as ace drums is around. read more

Was a loyal student for three years, and owner promised to "take care" of me in regards to a new instrument. "New" instrument turned out to be defective and refurbished. Owner refused to rectify the situation and became verbally hostile, unprovoked. Have incident on video. Separately, teacher was knowledgeable but unprofessional, talked badly of other students and otherwise wasted lesson time. read more

Love the place!!!! Great rooms for teaching! Lots of selections. Knowledgeable staff! I love it so much I want to work there!

This is a great store with good old fashioned Customer Service. Decades of drum experience and the largest inventory of parts around. The guitar selection is the best in the area, as is the on board top professional teaching and repair staff. I have know them for many years and we are fortunate to have them serving our community. read more

My children have grown so much musically since getting them started with drum and guitar lessons. The teachers are great and let the kids learn and play songs that they are interested in. They are always encouraging them with positive feedback that keeps their love for music burning, its a precious and inspiring thing for a parent to see. On top of that they make you feel valued and like family which, to me, is what every customer hopes for! read more

I've been taking drum lessons at Ace for the past six months and recommend it highly. Ken is a fantastic teacher. I have been buying stuff from Ken before he officially opened up Ace Drums. He has always helped to keep my drumming hobbies alive. He has always been super helpful in any questions that I have about drumming, drums, hardware, etc. Going to Ace Drums is like going home. He treats everyone like family and does his best to help the community and local musicians. I now live out of state for school and couldn't take my set with me, but I bought a new one and I am in the process of getting all the gear I need for it. I contacted Ken about building this set and he gave me his honest opinion on the deal I was getting and is doing everything he can to set me up with heads, cymbals, stands, etc. I can easily get it from somewhere else, but I still want to support his cause and support local music my self. Thanks for all your help over the years Ken. You've helped keep these hobbies of mine together. Ace Drums is home. read more

Ace Drums is your local drum/music shop, not your big box corporate retail giant. Go there to spend a little time getting to know the local musicians and for the decades of insight the owner and staff provide. They are always fair and honest. For beginners starting out, there's no more enthusiastic and encouraging instructor than Ken. Thanks Ken. read more

Sadly this store is like most local music stores: over priced and having little options to choose from. The brands they have to offer are limited and they have almost none of the premier drum brands you come to expect from a good drum store. Their cymbal selection is dismal and their drumsticks are outrageous like $10-15 a pair! Since it's one of the only stores that's local I've tried to be supportive, but I have run in to major issues. I first bought 500 dollars worth of high end SKB drum cases (which took almost 2 months for them to order) when they finally arrived the lining of the bass and tom case ripped in about 1 month. I was told by the owner they had a full warranty, but after nearly 2 months of the cases being at the factory for repair I was informed I had to pay $250 worth of shipping to get my "full warranty" "brand new cases" back! This was the owner of Ace Drums telling me this! I have multiple other stories of Ace Drum's inability to do good, truthful, and fair business. I am a professional drummer who has played for 11 years and with over 100 different bands, and I make my entire living off of music! I would not suggest spending any of your hard earned money here! read more

Bought a very rare Rivera Lobottom guitar subwoofer. Ken was kind and understanding to give me a one week extension on it. Would gladly do business again anytime! =) read more
