We kept hearing about this place from friends that frequent this restaurant/comedy house so we wanted to give it a try. The performer was magician-comedic Eric Eaton. He was just ok, nothing too exciting. Got a few laughs from the audience, but his magic tricks fell pretty flat. Also, if you like music tribute bands it's an ok venue. We personally don't care for tribute bands since we have seen so many originals in concert. As for the ambience. As soon as you walk in through the front door it smells old, musty. Someone must have been smoking near door because it brought in that odor. My wife had the salmon pasta which was pretty tasty and I had the ribeye steak which was cooked perfectly. We had a glass of wine each. With the already added 20 % gratuity our bill came to over $138 and that's not even including the tickets we had to pre purchase for the show. A very big negative was the back door was constantly being opened and wait staff coming in/out. Even the comedian had to pause and make a comment about this. It's definitely an issue. All in all it's just an over priced ballroom with dim lighting, which makes it very hard to see your meal when eating. read more

Vinsani Comendy Theatre suck at customer service. I purchased tickets for a show, the act was cancelled. I then got tickets for the new show same date. the difference was $161.04 After completing the transaction and not before that the remains balance could only be used for comedy tickets. I was never told I could not use the remaining balance for dinner and drinks. Well I live in another state and will never be back to use the money, Fought with my credit card company for reimbursement and was not successful. So beware that the staff is not informative and I got screwed. Not a stand up business with any sort of customer service would definitely NOT recommend to anyone read more

The food was spectacular! Went for dinner and a show group of 5 and everyone was raving about the food. The main knocks outs was my Cajun steak pasta, and the lobster pasta to die for the noodles were so fresh and amazing! But honestly everyone loved what they got from shrimp fettuccini to ravioli pasta and chicken parm all great. I really wasn't expecting the food to be all that and I was blown away. Ordered burrata for app as well and had some delicious espresso martini. I would truly go back just for the food to tell you that's how much we loved the food. Besides that the service was great, fast cordial and helpful. Ambiance was nice and the show was great you can tell it's a place ran by great leadership and they have everything running smoothly. But what an experience I can't wait to go back when I'm town those noddles will be on my mind for a while until my next visit. read more

We had Date Night at Visani's last night with Dinner and a comedy show and it was fantastic!! The ambiance is great, the food is even better and who doesn't want to have dinner & watch a show in a castle?! We started with the shrimp cocktail, it was served cold and delicious! I had the Cajun Steak Tip Parpadelle Pasta... One of the BEST pasta dishes I've ever had!! The steak was cooked perfect and the homemade Parpadelle was cooked perfectly, the sauce really tied everything together... I could eat this dish EVERY day! It was SO good! My husband had the NY steak w/mashed potatoes and green beans. The steak was cooked perfectly! Overall we had a great dining experience and we made reservations for another show in June! The food is always good. I had a large ribeye that was really big and perfectly cooked with a salad and potatoes. You can't go wrong there. This was my almost 2nd visit to Visani. Over a year ago went with a group of neighbors, listened to a great comedian and when it came time to pay my bill I was rudely told by the waitress that I failed to meet the $15 minimum, my bill was $14.95! I had planned on giving a nice tip, but after that, didn't happen. Tonight I had tickets through a group (Elks) that was a fundraiser. The friend I went with had emailed them to let them know there would be 2 of us together and the time we were arriving. We were not eating dinner but were planning on appetizers and were aware of the $15 minimum. When we arrived we were RUDELY advised that there were NOT 2 seats together. One of us would sit on one end of the room and then one on the other end. The girls REFUSED to put us together. Another guest offered to give up her seat as she had already eaten, so we sat at her table and ordered our appetizers. We were then approached, RUDELY, saying we could NOT sit there, we had to separate!!!! I HAVE NEVER BEEN TREATED SO POORLY IN MY ENTIRE LIFE. I WILL NEVER RETURN TO VISANI'S. NOT SURE WHAT KIND OF MANAGEMENT ALLOWS THIS RUDE BEHAVIOR, I WILL NEVER GO THERE AGAIN. It's unfortunate, I love to patronize businesses close to where I live. Was so looking forward to this evening, but these girls nearly ruined it. We walked out and found a much nicer place to eat and didn't get yelled at. read more

We came for the Rock Show last week. We paid good money for the tickets and dinner show. Our arrival time was at 6:30pm and we showed up promptly at that time. First of all, we waited fifteen minutes without one person to acknowledge us or even get a drink. I had to go up to the bar and ask the bartender to ask him who is supposed to wait on our table, and that no one even acknowledged us. If I had not go up there myself we would have sat there all evening probably before someone even noticed us! A young waitress finally came up to the table with another lady who was training that evening. She told us that they had problems that evening. I was upset at that point because if we wanted bad service we would have stayed home. We really don't care what problems the staff was having that evening, we just wanted to get decent service and enjoy the show. This really put a damper on our evening out and it continued throughout the evening. My drink ran out and she didn't even check on us until much later. The lady in training was the only one who made sure we had a bag to take our meals home. The show was great! This was the only thing that saved the evening for us! The three entrees to choose from was not a good choice. So by the end of our visit we paid almost $200 dollars for awful service, and up charges to eat something that we even liked! We had to pay two gratuities that she did not even deserve! Totally ruined our evening and your restaurant gave us a bad impression from the start. read more

The Bacon gorganzolla sirloin steak was very tender and delicious it melted in your mouth. Ordered it medium, it was perfect. My wife's skirt steak was ordered medium well and came out just how she likes it. We both cleaned the plates. We went with another couple and they all enjoyed their meals. They also had a few items on the kids menu that hit the spot for their kids. We sat in the side dinning area and were well taken care of. Visit this gem of Port Charlotte if you have the chance. We have gone to Visani quite a few times and have always enjoyed the food and shows. We thoroughly enjoyed Dwight Eisenhower's impersonation of Elvis. SPOT ON!!!!! However we went to the 8:00 show last night and saw Collin Quinn. Kept hoping his jokes would finally come forth. We waited and waited but all fell flat. Instead I felt like we were attending a sociology lecture. The two opening comedians were much funnier. Losing interest in Collin's schtick I started looking around the room. There was almost non existent laughter let alone a smile on patrons faces. Many resorted to looking at their phones or going to the bathroom during his routine. Will I go back to Visani......most definitely! Will I ever go to see Collin Quinn.....a resounding no!!! I feel like that was an hour I'll never get back. read more

Went to see Robert Kelly on a Saturday night. The comedian was terrible!! The material was juvenile , crass and repetitive. Was bored after the 1st 15 minutes. If comedy means talking only about the genitals and insulting the audience members ( again based on their genitals ) then this is the show for you!! Several sections of tables to accompany any size group. There are also seats at the bar !! We had 10 in our group and Brian, our server was great. Attentive and right on top of our needs. Our table ordered various meals, mine was the grilled salmon, my husband ordered the eggplant parmesan... both delicious!! Others had the clam bowl, steaks & chicken Parm.... Most served with pasta. Brian got everyone one of the orders correct, which is sometimes hard with a large group. Kudos and job we'll done !!! And, everyone touted their meal as "the Best" We will check the events schedule and return again !! read more

Me and my wife had a good time out with some good laughs. First the service was beyond good! The food plates looked amazing but when eating did not have much flavor. I had the lobster ravioli that had lots of chunks of lobster. The sauce was not as good as prior Italian restaurants we went to. Now the bread we bought for $5 was exceptional. The place has perfect ambiance. The comedy acts made it all worth it. Did not find the whole package with the food and show expensive at all. We were there for 2 hours and a half. Saw the 60s, 70s, 80s rock show tonight. Food was excellent, waitress wonderful, but the band was just OK and SO LOUD it was painful. I ended up putting tissues in my ears to block the sound and we left early because it was not enjoyable. The venue is not that big to justify such loud music. A shame, maybe a comedian next time. read more

Each of us in our party tried something different, Chicken Parm was huge, seriously enough for two people, the pork chop my brother ordered was thick with a homemade sauce, the special of the night was lobster pappardelle, incredible.
