Staff were both rude and knew nothing about RV related questions. We were renting an RV for the first time, when picking up the vehicle we got the RV with the sewage values close and also the lid closed. The staff member said that she didn't to open it as it might not be completely empty. When returning, we emptied both the tanks as asked but left the valves closed as we were unaware and at-least thats how we got it when we rented it. When returning the guy there was adamant on giving us a 50$ fine since they were closed, we repeatedly tried to tell him that it was closed when we got it and we did empty it, had it open it up in front of him and there was nothing in it. He shouldn't have been rude about it.

I watched the FYI video online but it was still nice to have a person help you with questions during the walk around that weren't explained in the video. The only thing I noticed that I wish was taken care off during the pickup process is to have a full tank of gas and LPG. Fortunately for us we weren't rushing to get to our destination but I can imagine this being an inconvenience should one be pressed for time. I do understand why as this location is only operated by 1-2 personnel max so they might be short shortstaffed. Not a big concern and in no way affected the experience my family had. Will definitely come back again for future RV needs!

Moises was outstanding to work with. I explained what I had and what I needed and he said no problem let me give you a quote. Quote was great so we scheduled the work. He called to confirm Friday about what time I would be arriving on Monday. After dropping it off he confirmed when it would be ready. The next afternoon it was done; ahead of schedule and on budget. Got up there to pick it up and the installation was perfect and the interior was clean and everything was in its place. It's been years since I have found this level of customer service and professionalism. I highly recommend them for your upholstery needs.

El Monte, Cruise America, small local renters, and private parties thru Outdoorsy. Our experience with A Family Affair has by far been the best ever! Moses and his wife run a genuine mom and pop shop and have a great passion for their clients. They not only made the rental experience quick and easy, they were a joy to work with. We rented their almost new 2024 Entegra Odyssey 30Z class C. As a new rig, there were a few minor issues that came up. Moses was super helpful and got back to me via phone to help me thru the problems we did have. He was also nice enough to let me park my car in his yard while we were gone, and made the return check in process super easy. I wish I had discovered A Family Affair years ago. I will definitely rent from them again, and highly recommend them!

In December 2026, my wife and I began searching for a new RV as she approached retirement. We found…read morea model we liked at RVs of Sacramento. During our initial visit, we made it clear to the salesperson that we needed to sell our current trailer before purchasing a new one. The owner, James Bonin, approached us, introduced himself, and emphasized his supposed commitment to customer service. He mentioned he had recently purchased the dealership and asked us to disregard any reviews older than five months--an early red flag in hindsight. He told us we could consign our trailer with his business, looked up the blue book value, agreed our asking price was reasonable, and committed to a 90‑day consignment agreement. We told him we would think it over. On December 30th, we decided to proceed. I called James, but his voicemail was full--another warning sign--so I texted him. We confirmed the price, the 90‑day duration, and the January 10th drop‑off date. He said nothing else was needed. When we arrived on the 10th, James was nowhere to be found. Instead, a salesman--handling his first consignment--attempted to process the contract. When we reached the price and duration, he claimed the price was only the blue book value and went to consult James, who was in his office but still refused to speak with us directly. He tried to talk us out of the price James had already agreed to. After pushing back, the salesman finally wrote the correct price but returned with a 120‑day duration. We again had to correct him before he changed it to 90 days. He then asked for the original registration, insisted they had to keep it, and only provided a copy after I requested one. While we were there, they moved a trailer to the front and asked if we wanted to see it. James himself was the one moving it--still avoiding us. We looked at several units but reiterated that we would not purchase anything until our current trailer sold. Two days later, I realized we had never been given a copy of the consignment contract. I called and spoke with Mike Bonin, who identified himself as the manager. He emailed the contract--but it wasn't even signed by the dealership. A few days later, we searched their website and RV Trader and found no listing for our trailer. When we called, the receptionist to inquire about the status of our trailer, said she needed to "check with James" and that the trailer might be at the RV show with him. After two days with no response, I called again. Mike now claimed he wasn't the manager--despite his email signature stating otherwise--and said we needed to talk to James. At this point, we were genuinely concerned about the whereabouts of our trailer. When I finally reached James, he claimed he hadn't checked his voicemails or texts for five days. I expressed my frustration that the trailer had not been advertised as promised. He apologized and blamed the RV show. I told him I wanted to void the contract and pick up the trailer. He agreed, and we scheduled a time. On January 22nd, I picked up the trailer. During inspection at home, I discovered the light on the automatic jack hanging off and a large crack in the jack housing--damage that was absolutely not present when we dropped it off. Given that they move trailers with a forklift and ball hitch, the height and nature of the damage point directly to their handling. I texted James with photos. He apologized and promised to order a replacement jack and send someone to install it. Weeks passed with no action. On February 6th, I followed up. He asked for my availability; I gave him a full week. He replied, "Got it." On February 20th, after more silence, he said he'd send someone "next week." On March 5th, I followed up again. He didn't respond until March 13th, claiming he was "committed" to replacing the jack and that I had his word. It is now May 4th, and there has been zero follow‑through. No repair, no communication, no accountability. This dealership is run with incompetence, dishonesty, and complete disregard for customers' property. Their behavior--from broken promises, to mishandling our trailer, to refusing to communicate--reflects a business that should not be trusted with anyone's RV, money, or time. My advice: AVOID THIS DEALERSHIP AT ALL COSTS. You can find the same trailers at reputable dealerships that don't operate like a circus. RVs of Sacramento has earned every bit of this criticism, and if I were the owner, I'd be embarrassed. Unfortunately, based on our experience, this appears to be their business model.

I looked at the vans available for the dates I wanted and the Zion was just what I was looking for. It was the smaller of the standard sizes of Mercedes vans. That was great because I was slightly apprehensive about driving a larger van. (After driving the Zion, I feel I would be OK with the larger 170 inch wheel base vans.) The rental price was very reasonable considering that the van was essentially my home for three days. The van was well equipped and very comfortable. I enjoyed my three days and showing the van to my friends.

We were able to attend one of their open houses and it became obvious that they do exceptional work. The owners, as well as builders, were all available to speak with and answered a ton of questions. They gave us information on things we didn't even know to ask. We were able to look at and sit in most of the floor plans they offer, really helping us to understand the different options of "furniture" placement. We left the open house feeling confident that we would be making the best choice by going with Scenic Vans. A week later I was able to do a consultation with two of the owners, mocking up different options for van builds. I left that appointment having complete understanding of what we will be paying when we do our build. They are in the process of helping us get the best deal on the van we will do the build in. A conversion van purchase isn't a small purchase. We are in a season of life change, waiting for our retirement date, but can't wait to have new adventures in a van Scenic will build for us. I have no doubt they will do a great job making the perfect van for us. This company has won us over based on craftsmanship and customer service!

And the price was so right, we extended for a week! The place is easy to find, we hooked up, signed some papers & off we went. We rented the COZY CABIN and it lined up perfectly with our truck. Easy to tow. If u already know how to tow, it helps, but fairly easy to figure out. Best just driving forward! Rhonda put a lot of thought in what to have inside, she had cookware, dinnerware, utensils & all kinds of little things you might need. Extra lights, batteries & propane. You could seriously just show up with clothes & food and have pretty much everything. We used sleeping bags -unzipped & open, pillows & it was easier than any tent! We brought folding chairs & an extra cooler, making a campsite has never been simpler. The cabin was solar powered but had hookups for shore power ( we didn't even need it). Plenty of air with windows & a fan. Cabin lights were more than enough. The bed was comfortable. The kitchen area was efficient & had plenty of storage. The trailer was clean, in like new condition. We will be repeat clients for sure!!!
