When you first get there, you need to get a form and fill it out. Once you're done, you put the form on the black form holder. Then you wait for your name to be called. I browsed the store while waiting for my sandwich. They let us sample chili that day. By the time I came back, my sandwich was ready. The sandwich was massive. You definitely should try their corti bros special. They get to decide what meat you'll get for the day. Definitely would come back for a loaded sandwich that's under $10. The parking lot can be chaotic because it gets busy here.

When you enter the store the deli counter is to the left. You begin your order by filling out a small piece of paper which tells the sandwich makers what to put on your sandwich. Once your selections are made place the paper on a small black plate at the end of the counter right next to where you filled out order sheet. I usually go with a turkey, bacon and avocado sandwich with pepper jack for the cheese. They have all of the usual fixings expected at a deli shop. Just circle what you want and wait for them to call your name. What made the sandwich stand out was the generous portion size and the fresh bread. The Dutch crunch actually crunched!!! They have tables and chairs outside to the left of the entrance to sit and eat. The store opened in 1947 and the food was excellent. Will most definitely be back when I am in the town!!

I regularly stop in to pick up treats, drinks, produce like mushrooms and okra, and their poke and hot meal options. I also like their home goods sections with so many cool ramen bowls, sauce containers, and utensils. I'm always excited when I stop in when it's slower because I can take my time browsing. Whenever this happens I end up leaving with a lot more items. I appreciate that they carry a wide variety of items including some ingredients and items that are hard to find in the US and even at other Asian grocery stores. I've stopped into many different stores and I feel like Oto's has variety and quality at a great price. They do have their own parking, but be careful because it can be pretty tight and there's usually a good amount of cars coming in and out.

Oto's might be my favorite specialty grocery store in Sacramento.I dont go there often as it's not…read moreon my path home or even close to my work-in fact every time I have to go to Oto's I have to go out of my way to make a special trip-that may be why every visit there feels so great What do I love about Oto's-Let's see I generally never know exactly what I'm going to find when I go there-they are always changing up their stock-I know I can count on some great sauces for my home dishes-I know I can count on some new salty snacks from overseas every time I go there-I know that I will most likely find some new ramen flavor that I never ran into before-I know that I probably will find a Funko Pop that I wasn't expecting every time I go there-these are just a few things I love about Oto's.We won't even bring up their amazing fresh produce or their cold bar foods they offer on a daily basis-My mochi palette would not be nearly what it is today without all the great mochi products I've picked up at Oto's-it really is just a great place to shop and I'm happy every time I know I'm going to go there and every time I'm leaving-it's awesome. But none of those reasons are the real reason I truly love Oto's,let me tell you what I really love.....Late last year I decided I was going to learn how to make my favorite food in the world and that is sushi.I went ham,I got the knives I got the kits,I got the rice maker,I got all the seasonings but what I didn't have was a spot to pick up the highest level of fish that was needed to really make homemade sushi pop and that is where Oto's came in to save the day. Their daily "sushi-grade" tuna and salmon that they sell in the back of the store is so next level-even a novice like myself cannot mess up a homemade sushi meal. They have so much to offer at Oto's,all the different levels of salmon and tuna, depending on your budget but all of it is amazing. I will forever be indebted to Oto's for helping me raise my sushi game at home and making my wife think that I'm just the best sushi maker-when it was always just the high quality fish offered at Oto's that did the work-Thank You Oto's for that. In closing-if you ever find yourself in the Land Park area and want to see what all the hype is about at this incredible spot or maybe you just want to try your hand at some home sushi making,be sure to stop by Oto's Marketplace-it truly is a gem amongst gems. PS....Parking sucks here-no way around that one unless u get lucky or have a handicap placard-don't like the parking.

For those living in the neighborhood this is such a convenient spot. This is a smaller grocery store so you won't be able to find everything, but what they do have is plenty. There's fresh produce, wine, beer, shelf stable items essential to everyday recipes, and where they really shine is their deli and butcher area. They also have some prepared items like desserts, salads, dressings, pickles, dips, and more. On my latest visit I ended up ordering their Italian Hero ($11.99) from the deli counter, and picked up some of their pickles and house made caesar dressing. Everything was high quality and I loved that they have these options available. The Caesar dressing is delicious and I'll definitely be stopping in again for more. I've been using it on salads since picking it up. It had a good amount of parmesan cheese so The pickles have a very unique flavor, they're definitely tasty but not my favorite version of Dill Pickles- they are more tangy and zingy that traditional dill pickles, not bad just not what I expected. (I was thinking more kosher dill, like Claussen pickles or like the pickles you'd get at a Jewish deli). The sandwich was the star of the show, for $11.99 it was HUGE, the Italian Hero comes with prosciutto, mortadella, salami, roasted red bell pepper, and provolone- all sandwiches also come with mayo, mustard, lettuce, tomato, red onion, pickles, and pepperoncini. The combination of ingredients on Dutch Crunch bread was amazing and I think having roasted red peppers as an option is underrated, it elevates a sandwich so much. While I wouldn't do my normal shopping here, I would absolutely come for specialty items or pick up needed items for convenience. I'll be back again soon!
