Great place to get a good clean hair cut!. Some barbers have to make appointment month in advance. Still worth it!

Kyle cut my hair, When I showed up for my 12:15 appointment I was greeted with "I've been ready since 12". I asked Kyle to get the hair off my ears and raise the back off my neck. I sensed he was struggling to do as I ask but when he started trimming my top, I said something. He tried to justify it by saying he was blending but why does getting hair off my neck and ears require blending my hair on top of my head? He took as much as 2 inches in some areas. I am now stuck trying to keep my short hair out of my face for the next 5 weeks, even with hair product. Despite my last name, I'm not a professional Barber, but I've been getting this head of mine cut for over 67 years and know when I'm not getting what I ask for. Kyle did not give me what I asked for. read more

Wandered in without an appointment and was lucky to not need it that moment. The interior is pretty cool looking - like a real. Arbor Shop. My guy (Kyle) cut my hair exactly the way I wanted which was a very pleasant surprise. I will be back. read more

Pleasant atmosphere I've had my haircut here several times before but was a little disappointed this time. I walked in with hair almost to my shoulders, wanting to get it, trimmed up and heat it up and maybe styled a little bit so I didn't look like a wild man And I walked out with what comes close to a military haircut. I was surprised to learn that my barber had approximately one year experience I expected in a place like this that I would have barbers with five or 10 years experience. The barber is definitely skilled gave me a great tailored haircut unfortunately that wasn't what I was looking for. I think I would've had better luck at a chain salon. Did a good job trimming my beard and edging my beard. read more

Awesome place! Great hair cut. Perfect shave. Fun atmosphere. Really good stuff. I will definitely be back read more

I went there a few weeks ago and the female barber didn't speak a word to me or my son. It was uncomfortably quiet and wasn't getting any feedback during the cut. A little disappointed for the price we paid. read more

Well the Legend is True. Cody was great and I walked out with a great cut, Definitely recommend and I'll be back ! Highly recommend read more

Amazing gem located in downtown DeLand. As long as I'm in the area I will go nowhere else. Cody was awesome! read more

Well, I used to love the rusty razor; but I will never go there again, nor tell any of my friends about this place since the owner doesn't really care about customer service at all. I asked him to help me get an appt with my Barber in response to his text in regards to their new cancellation policy and he simply told me to find a new shop... lol I've been going to that shop for almost four years now... so unprofessional. Evidently, when you start making money, you lose perspective of the way you started making bank doing what you do... the customer is the reason you make money. Sure, I express my disgust towards the policy; but I also mentioned I'd pay it and asked if he'd help me get an appointment... his answer was to stop getting my haircut there. Welp, I never will again. And if you like to get your haircut somewhere WORTH THE MONEY, where your business is valued and appreciated, ID HIGHLY RECOMMEND A DIFFERENT BARBERSHOP. Proof is in the attached images. read more

Great cuts on the Deland strip. The guys here really care about their technique and give you their full attention.

Shave was OK. Business was a little odd. Ton of political stuff all over the walls. Barber was talking about how people should be cool with Nazi paraphernalia. Definitely don't wonder in here unless you are on board with that stuff. read more

Cody's been cutting my hairs' over 3 years now, back at his 1st shack. He listens and delivers. The guys are all old school, disciplined, great sense of humor. A straight razor delight! The whiskey helps too! read more

Usually cut my own hair but walking by one day and the place caught my eye. Figured I would give it a shot, and was a great experience to be honest. It's really more than just a haircut. You have a cool atmosphere, detailed attention, and best of all you leave looking great. I'm kinda ugly and I got two complements just walking to my truck, I think that speaks for itself. I've been going to this shop for over a year now. I've got my preferred barber, but I've had some the other fellas clean me up and they are all great. The shop has a great feel, good music, and always some great conversations between the patrons and barbers. These guys know their trade and I'm happy to hand my monies over to them. Stay Classy Deland. read more

I have a barber! I stopped in last month and they were all booked up, but they were highly recommended and the place looked cool, so I made an appointment the next time I was coming to Deland. I am thrilled with everything about the experience and the haircut and beard trim. Cody was friendly and professional as he took his time to make my mop look great. My beard has never been cut except when I've buzzed it. Now I know why one gets a barber to do it. It's never looked this neat and tidy. The other thing I really want to point out is the atmosphere. The shop itself is designed to be completely rustic and masculine. The walls are expose brink and rusty tin set off by lots of wood and what I assume to be antique barber chairs. This is a BARBER SHOP and would never be mistaken for a beauty salon. Smooth reggae played today, but Cody says it changes with the mood of the day, so you could find yourself there on a blues day or maybe a smooth jazz day. The important thing is - find yourself there. Make an appointment for a Gentleman's Spa Day.I did and I live 250 miles away. read more

I finally found the best barber shop in DeLand! I have heard nothing but great things, and was finally able to give them a try. I booked online and was able to get a cut with Jarrod the next day. The guys seem to have fun. I watched Cody give a haircut to nervous kid and made it super easy for him! I only wish I came here earlier. read more

Best barbers around. They're friendly and professional. They are very proficient with all clients from my young boys past me.

My husband goes here for his haircuts and been more than pleased with Cody. He says he is the best barber in Deland, bar none! His skill in using and coordinating his tools of the trade, specifically scalp analysis, and expertise with a straight razor are most impressive. Cody is an excellent listener and does his best to provide his clients with the style of cut that they desire. His motto is "stay handsome Deland" and the Rusty Razor is where Cody makes it happen. read more

Cody is an extremely skilled and professional barber. His commitment to traditional methods and discipline is rare, which makes my visits feel welcome and satisfied by the quality. Great haircut! Cody really knows what he is doing and takes pride in his work. I moved here a couple of months ago and waited to get my haircut because I didn't want someone to chop it up. Cody was well worth the wait and did an awesome job. read more

Best darn place for many a mile to get a haircut or beard shaping / trimming. Cody, Nelson and Aaron are as professional and skilled as it gets. If you get work done here, you can't go wrong with whoever provides the service and you will be back. read more

The atmosphere is very relaxing. I made an appointment, so when I walked in I was greeted by name (even though I've never been there). All the staff is very personable. Cody was my barber and he listened to what I was looking for (even though I was terrible at explaining it) and he gave me a beard trim and haircut that was exactly what I was looking for. Cody's next appt arrived before he was finished with my cut. Despite that, it didn't seem that Cody was rushed at all. He took his time and carefully crafted my hair like it was his personal masterpiece. I'll definitely be coming back. read more

The absolute best. Precise wonderful and coolest place in the world. This is the best barber shop I've ever been too.

Moved back in town recently and needed a good barbershop to go to, did a search on Yelp and saw this place. Man was I glad I went!! One of the best fades and all around haircut I've had in years. Place was laid back and what a barbershop is supposed to be. I'll be attending here for as long as I live in central FL read more

Took a chance while on vacation in Dec. '15, and got the best haircut of my life here from Cody. Found myself in Deland again several months later and came back for another great haircut.
