This place is wonderful hidden gem that certainly lives up to its name! I stumbled upon it after a…read moremonth-long search for an original Hoosier cupboard. Not wanting to drive to Ohio or Philadelphia to purchase one, I happened to call The Treasure Shack to see whether they had any in stock. I spoke with the gentleman who owns the Shack and he informed that he did, indeed, have a couple original Hoosiers in his store. He described them both to me in great detail and, based upon that conversation, I decided to drive out to Bridgeville and check them out. The moment I walked into this store, I knew I would be going home with more than a cupboard. The Shack is a well-curated little antique store that sells everything from mid-century furniture to (gorgeous) Imperial carnival glass to creepy little trinkets from the 1940s and 50s (i.e., wobbly clown toys). It's well organized, nicely decorated, and smells kinda like grandma's kitchen (in a good way). I ended up purchasing a Hoosier, as well as some glassware, after perusing the store and chatting with the owners for a couple minutes. (Side note: The owners are quite personable and very knowledgeable. They seemed more than happy to answer my random questions.) Even if you don't have something specific in mind, I recommend taking a couple minutes to browse the store if you're in the area. The selection is quite varied and the prices are more than reasonable. Needless to say, I definitely wasn't disappointed with my Treasure Shack experience, and the 25 minute drive to Bridgeville was worth every second.

I literally just strolled through the first floor, ha. It was pretty cold in the store on this winter day. So, not sure if the heat works too well. The store clerk was very helpful and attentive. The prices are very expensive. I have no idea what this stuff is worth because I don't but a lot of antiques. It is certainly fun to look at this crazy collection of stuff though.

The first one is located in Irwin, PA, this is the first one within the city limits. This place is huge. A large building that has sections that vary dependent upon the person(s) that occupy that space. I guess you could look at this place as a consignment shop, thrift shop, and resale shop all in one. Product changes very often in here so I can guarantee you that no matter when you visit, it will feel new. The booths differ dependent on who occupies them, like I said before. If you are interested in occupying a booth they have information on that at the front counter. There is information on the price of size of space you want to have and then you also must note that you will be paying a commission percentage for each item. If a price doesn't feel right to you, you can talk to the people here and they could adjust the price to move the product. Be sure to check each booth carefully. Sometimes specific booths will be having a sale on their items, but it is just for that particular booth. Parking is a bit weird here as you have no idea where the parking spots are. So kind of go with the flow when it comes to parking. Careful when exiting this place as it is near a one lane underpass that seems to have a constant flow of traffic.
