Rustling Wind Stables is simply the best. Terri and her team of instructors and horses are wonderful. I have boarded my own horse here for going on 10 years and we could not be any happier! Terri has supported us through all aspects of our journey together; lessons, showing, and just having fun. I could go on and on, but will end by saying I cannot recommend this facility enough. read more

After four loyal years of patronage, I was asked not to come back to Rustling Wind this weekend. The stress that this experience has caused me and my family cannot be understated - and what happened stems from the fact that I asked for a reasonable accommodation to ride a safe horse (I have epilepsy and my anxiety riding a horse known to buck and disobey novice but advancing riders is well known) The trainer in fact had, that day, told me about about a young woman who nearly fell off of him when he bucked. Furthermore, she had her assistant get on him during my lesson and he nearly bucked her off. The result was that I sent a respectful email to the owner asking to ride the horse that I ride well, or try another horse. Then I was asked not to come back. Not only was this rude and insensitive, ADA protects people with disabilities- this should not have happened to me. Do yourself a favor and find somewhere else to ride. This place is not worth it! read more

If you want to board your horse in a barn that may fall down at any moment this is the place for you. When i was there it was terribly noisy there is a logging company that the owners husband owns that is always making tons of noise cant hear yourself think. Also there must be a shooting range really close by that makes tons of noise I dont see how any of this could be good for the horses. I wouldn't recommend this place to anyone there are more tranquil and much nicer stables around for lessons. My daughter went there a few times and we have moved on for the above reasons. read more

I have been sending my daughters here for years, and I have loved it the whole time. They take excellent care of the horses and provide quality lessons. In response to the other comment, when we were there, there was actually not much noise at all, and the barn looked very stable. Would definitely recommend. read more

Rustling Wind Stables is the best home away from home! My mare, Dreamer, is exceptionally well cared for. Terri also has a wonderful group of lesson horses and ponies suitable for all ages and abilities that I have been fortunate enough to get to know - they are truly fantastic teachers.
