I recently purchased a…read moresweater to wear on game day when the weather became colder than anticipated and wore it for four hours before realizing the seam on the sleeve had come apart from my wrist to elbow. Because I had no other clothes to change into I kept the sweater on throughout the game and by the end of the game the other sleeve had come apart in exactly the same spot AND the seam on the shoulder had come apart as well. When I brought the sweater in the next morning with a receipt showing I had purchased it the day before and showed the girl how it had fallen apart they told me nothing could be done since it had been worn. I offered to exchange for a different piece of clothing and was told that was not an option either. In my opinion this is no way to treat a customer and shows that they are not at all concerned with the quality of clothing they are selling in their store. I will not shop here again and will advise my friends not to as well.

My mother passed away last year and I have an old gold chain that she always wore and never took off. Unfortunately the chain had broken and so I took it to another jeweler for repair along with some other other items. The other jeweler barely looked at the chains and advised immediately that they could not be fixed because they were not real gold. This was not only gut wrenching news as I felt this necklace was a part of my mother that was now gone forever, but to hear that she had been wearing something that was gold plated for decades seemed strange since she never took it off even to shower. They were then very interested in selling me something new. I was immediately turned off and fled that place. I then came to Lewis' thinking I would be told the same thing. I was pleasantly surprised that I was told the opposite. I walked in and was immediately assisted by Abby, who advised that while the chain was old, it was real 10 carat gold and could be fixed with no problem. She also helped me fix a vintage necklace that I bought at a flea market and wasn't of real value other than it looked cool and then I bought two other silver chains from her for some pendants I had lying around. She never steered me toward more expensive items and since I wanted to buy two chains instead of one, she even offered me a small discount which she didn't have to do. I will never forget her kindness and if anything, it makes me want to come back over and over again. I was able to walk around a bit while she worked her magic and I have to say that the fine jewelry they have on display is stunning and modern and priced reasonably well for what it is.

I am somewhat particular about the way I (don't) like to shop. Grocery shopping is left to someone…read moreelse as often as possible, I find very little pleasure in going from store to store just browsing to see if I can find something to buy, and I typically wrinkle my nose when I end up paying retail for an item second-guessing whether it could be found at a discount somewhere else. More often than not, I shop when I need something. And admittedly, I frequently shop online for convenience and cost-comparison purposes. Unless I am looking for something special... I relish in finding that special little something for friends and family, that item they didn't even know existed that will bring a smile or a warm fuzzy feeling or a hearty laugh. Artifactory, now sharing a roof with Sewciety (perfect match), is such a shop. Only a handful of shops *spark joy* the moment I think of them and this one tops my list! Artifactory has a truly unique selection of very reasonably priced items I am unlikely to find anywhere else and the owners make you feel extra-special because they remember the little details, your likes and dislikes. They have a beautifully curated collection--a blend of local and non-local items--old and new, practical and quirky, unique and creative. My spirits are lifted when I walk through the door. I feel a bit like a I did as a child looking through a favorite relative's hope chest or exploring all of the treasures in my grandmother's home imagining what my home would look like when I got big. Nostalgia and possibilities comingle. And every time my gaze rests on an item I acquired at Artifactory - that vintage map framed on the wall, the 1937 yearbook from the school down the street from my home, my "protest socks" my husband bought me for certain civic matters, or the locally made jellies and sauces that taste so amazing, I am grateful for this little treasure in Downtown Norman. Go visit them and see what treasure you might find! And now in their new location,

Showplace Market (Moore, OK) June 4, 2026…read more (4/5) Showplace Market in Moore turned out to be a lot more boutique and chic than antique. If you're walking in expecting dusty vintage finds and old furniture, recalibrate -- this place leans much more toward a curated, upscale browsing experience built around fashion, home decor, gifts, jewelry, and the kinds of touches that make a space feel polished and inviting. To put it plainly: this is a woman's playground. The shops, the displays, and the overall vibe are clearly geared toward what most women love about a good day of browsing, and it does that really well. It's the kind of place you could easily lose an hour or two wandering through, picking things up, and finding something you didn't know you wanted. Husbands and partners, just know going in that you're probably looking at a longer visit than you planned for, and find yourself a comfortable bench. It's a fun, well-put-together stop if you enjoy the boutique scene, and the quality of what's on offer felt a notch above your average market. I'd recommend it for anyone in the Moore area looking for a relaxed afternoon of light shopping and browsing.
