So I hate to do this. But ever since Greenlin took over this location I have been beyond…read moredisappointed. When it was Keystone, I paid $5000 for a two week board and train. The results were amazing! We have a 1 1/2 year old Boxer puppy...by definition he is a spaz. At Keystone, they welcomed him with open arms and understood he was just a baby. Once Greenlin took over, it went downhill FAST. We paid about $275 for a daycare package. The staff decided he was too energetic and required him to have more training. This cost us $50 EVERY SINGLE TIME he is there. They don't deduct from the package, this is further out of pocket. So, we pay $50 per visit for him to be on a leash and nowhere near the other dogs. A staff member told us they believe this has been blown way out of proportion and that he doesn't need additional training. They also say if it were their dog, they would go elsewhere. This speaks volumes to me. He's a freaking puppy without a mean bone in his body! My husband called and left a message asking for a refund of the daycare package WE PAID FOR AND HAVE NOT RECEIVED. Can you guess if we got a call back? Of course we didn't. So, guess what? They are losing our business and I will be sure to let everyone I know how we and our puppy have been treated. They rob you of your original $ and look at you as a cash cow. You won't be looking at our puppy (or us) as cash cows anymore. Extremely pissed off and disappointed in this place! Avoid at all costs unless you want to be ripped off like us.

We contacted Brandy Lane Kennels a few months before surgery and Paul responded promptly answering all our questions. As the surgery date approached I booked 10 days. We changed the date of arrival and Paul was very accommodating adding the additional 2 days. The time arrived and drop off was seamless. Paul greeted us at the door and both dogs immediately went to him as he got on the floor to snuggle. I left with peace of mind that they were in good hand. Paul kept us informed of their happenings and included pictures. Both dogs looked happy and content. The dogs had a coming home bath and nails trimmed. Pick up was as easy as drop off. Paul was waiting with Vandi and Zoomer and I wondered if they would rather stay! The check in location is spotless, clean and doesn't smell like a dog or some strange odor to cover up an unpleasant smell. We have found the perfect place for Vandi and Zoomer's home away from home. I was Kevin's client for five years when I lived in the Harrisburg area. True, his practice is…read moreexpensive- however, you get what you pay for. I was always treated with a great amount of respect there. My dog never had really super serious problems while I was his client, but he was always there for me with every case of worms- and with a hound, there were lots. Developing a relationship is important in Kevin's practice- vets tend to see a lot of pet owners that are unprepared at best. So, he tends to treat pretty aggressively, and order more diagnostics than other vets might to protect himself. If you disagree with him, stay calm, be reasonable and be assertive, and he will be as well. Time in the practice and not skipping out on regular visits helps this along. Plus, there are a few intangibles as a client of Kevin's. They have separate waiting rooms for cats and dogs. They price match prescription medication. And if you're a client, you will find no better rates for boarding. Bottom line is that Kevin's practice deserves a better rating than it has. I can't give it a five star review because of the price, but he kept my business for five years- that's got to count for something.

We had an appointment today to have him cleared for a dental appointment in September. Our experience was absolutely top notch! Our appointment was at 4:20pm, but we arrived a bit early so we would have time to locate the place and figure out the necessary procedures. There was a note on the door instructing patients to call to check in for the appointment from their cars. I was informed that the receptionist would return my call and let me know when a vet tech had a vacant room available. I received a call at about 4:40pm. Everything was pretty quick after that! We entered the facility and were greeted by the staff. They asked me about any concerns I had and then the doctor came in. He was so amazing with our chunk. I truly have never had such a patient-centered veterinary experience. I felt that the cost was pretty affordable and definitely much less than the old practice that we frequented. They have our business for as long as we stay in this area!

I cannot even describe the hell my dog suffered, not to mention the emotional and mental (let's not forget financial) anguish I experienced. First, he was given antibiotics that he wouldn't take. Multiple calls to the office met with "try this, try that"....i knew nothing would work; we tried applesauce, cream cheese, peanut butter, yogurt, sprinkling it on beef, chicken, and finally a compound that cost me $74. He spit that all over me! At one point my neighbors were trekking to the store for us!!! Finally, they offered a $65 injection that would last. Really??? You couldn't offer this sooner? His vet knew he had problems with pills, but, no! Upon his return home post-surgery, he cried for hours. No amount of pain meds was helping. I noticed his surgical "Lick sleeve" seemed exceptionally tight around his belly, so I loosened it and he immediately stopped crying and fell asleep!!! This thing was too small for him and cutting off circulation to his hind legs! When I called to get a more appropriate size, they wanted me to pay ANOTHER $79! Seriously? When I balked, they said to order one online or go to a pet store!!!!!!! I'm not kidding. I left it off of him until he went in for bandage removal. Now, get this, the vet he has seen since he was born kept calling him "she/her" until I told the vet that she had a penis! And you're a VETERINARIAN!!! Not wanting to put the ill-fitting sleeve back on him I left him go for the night. I own that. He went wild on his incision. I sent the pictures to the office and the VET TECH, not the veterinarian, said it was fine!!! Needless to say, I will not take my dog back there....EVER! He and I will never go back. I have sent neighbors and friends to this clinic over the years, but after this debacle I can't recommend it anymore. If you go there, pray you never need surgery. That woman should hang up her degree.

Took both of my dogs here for the weekend. I was extremely nervous as it was their first time being…read morekenneled anywhere, and I'd spent several days calling every kennel in the area to find they were mostly rude or never returned my calls. However, CharLyn did an amazing job, even allowing them to stay together so my timid dog could be comforted by the more confident one.The kennels are clean and temperature controlled, and the prices are more than fair. The dogs are walked and snuggled while they stay also-my little one fell in love with them, giving kisses as we left. They obviously love dogs and love what they do. So thankful we chose Char Lyn!
