Just like another reviewer said, 1 star is too much!! Don't waste your money at this campground. I've been so disappointed. Not only is it expensive, but be prepared to spend even more once you get here. This review will be long and kind of all over the place so bear with me. I paid $15 each for my kids to do tie dye and the workers didn't clean off the grates so my daughters shirt got covered in other colors she didn't want. The staff did nothing but tell me the dye would "wash out" even though it was on the white parts of her shirt. Also- the staff got to wear gloves during tie dye, but they didn't give any gloves to the kids so the kids had to get dye all over their hands. The laser tag which was $10 a person was just out in a field with nothing for the kids to hide and shoot behind. My daughter said the people running the laser tag were rude. The campground ran out of ice the day before a holiday on a holiday weekend. The water went out on Monday, power went out on Tuesday. The power is still out as I type this. There are dogs non-stop barking across the road from us, and I brought it up to staff and they did nothing. The 5mph speed limit is not enforced on golf carts, so beware!!! We tried going to the pool on Monday which was my daughters birthday but there were so many "visitors- (non-campers)" using up the parking spots and the pool was so full we couldn't even get in. I feel that the actual campers should have priority access before daily visitors!! Also, during the "hey ride", kids were going by squirting our campsite with water, almost getting on our chairs and other belongings. The staff driving the tractor did nothing. We were parked under walnut trees so we had walnuts dropping on our campers all weekend! The front desk also told me they were gonna do some math and give me a call about golf cart rentals and they never did. But $100 for a one day golf cart rental is OUTRAGEOUS anyways! $100!!!! I will NEVER come here again and I will never recommend it to anyone. They spent so much money on this new private residence out here without first investing in fixing the small pool that has stuff peeling off of it or leveling all of the camp sites. With almost 200 campsites they should consider adding a second pool or making the one they have bigger so more of their paying campers (not random daily visitors!) can actually enjoy it. We inquired about checking out a day early due to all of these issues, and of course, this money-hungry campground won't refund us for our final night. But this place is bad enough that we will be leaving anyways and forfeiting that $75 for tonight's stay. I've never had such a terrible camping experience. The only good thing was Kristi the ice cream scooper, she was awesome! Edit: the power has now gone out 6 different times since leaving this review. In 90°+ heat, this isn't exactly ideal. We're trying to pack up and leave and we can't because the power keeps going out so we can't put in our slides and use our electric Jack. This place is a joke! read more
