This isn't your typical fried chicken; they took an ordinary concept, and transformed chicken into a bucket of flavorful yum! The magic is in how the chicken was seasoned. I can tasted the chicken was well marinated before they even add the coat of batter. You have a burst of flavors in your mouth, from tangy to savory to sweet. The french fries are amazing! Who would have thought to add dill onto fries? No one! However, they did and the combination paid off. Again, tangy and savory! If you're not a chicken wing person, they offer chicken tenders. If you're not a chicken tender person, they offer chicken sandwich. In other words, there's plenty of fun for everyone.

The restaurant is small, intimate and does not seat all that many so if you're going to be more than two people I would suggest making a reservation. We were four people with reservations at 6pm. At first we were the only ones there but within 15-20 minutes the restaurant filled up. We ordered a variety of tapas ranging from their bread and aioli to the honey glazed goat cheese and traditional Spanish chorizo and meatballs. Excellent flavor in most of the dishes. The calamari was slightly bland but cooked well. Make sure to order the dates wrapped in bacon. We got 3 servings of it! Now let's get to the price. There's no denying that going out to dinner is expensive in Norway but for the amount of food we got, a bottle of wine and three beers we paid about $55 per person which is NOT bad for an expensive country like Norway. So, if you're looking to have an enjoyable night out with some light food and drinks and great conversation this is the place for you.

We were given food menus but no wine list or drink menus. 20 frustrating minutes later the waiter came back for the first time and we asked for drink menus. Unfortunately, it didn't seem like the waiters were trained in the wine menu, as just stating what we wanted was not enough - we had to point to the wines in the menu. We ordered a French white wine but they gave us a New Zealand white, which they had already opened at the bar without showing us the label - it was put in an ice bucket an poured. First rule of serving wine: show the label to the customer before opening the bottle so they know they actually got what they ordered. The food was good, I can recommend the fish main and the duck salad starter. The starter portion was a little large, but good value for your money. This is the only redeeming quality of the place. We also sat for almost an hour after finishing our meal, before we had to go to the bar to ask them to send someone to our table so we could pay the check. Again, absolutely inattentive wait staff. All in all, if you want some ok food I recommend this place, but do not expect good service or to get a feeling of being in a restaurant. This place should stick to letting customers order at the bar when they can't offer more with table side service. It's sadly no less than expected from a "restaurant" in a small town.
