Even with a REA sign on display (which literally stands for "realizing assets" in Sweden), the prices still feel a bit steep. I might just be comparing it to Budapest or Paris, where affordable boutiques are everywhere. Then again, this is the Nordic region. They are very strict about keeping out cheap mass-productions or low-quality goods from third-party countries. Unlike some "Made in Italy" labels that actually rely on exploited cheap labor, Sweden focuses on the real deal. I absolutely love the minimalism of Swedish chic. If you are in Stockholm, SoFo is definitely a standout spot! I would give it a 4 out of 5 stars, even though I didn't end up buying anything. Södermalm is truly the place to be if you want to avoid the usual tourist crowds. They are Swedes, so if you say "Hej Hej," the service is going to be awesome. Having been around Scandinavians ( Americans) all my life, the culture is completely familiar to me. Yes, you get a straight face instead of bubbly, cheap small talk, but there is a genuine, warm welcome underneath. Fake small talk just doesn't exist in their service industry.

The store itself is not as considered retail space as the Acne outlet or The Whyred outlet, but the variety of brands makes up for it. The helpful staff doesn't hurt either!

She finally left with three purchases. My wife, fwi, is an expert, dedicated shopper, and this was the only store in all Stockholm that met her standards, the most important of them being something unique, something you couldn't find anywhere else. (They also play wonderful Spotify playlists and have chairs where husbands like me can sit and fiddle with their phones.)

I have received some as gifts but had never visited the store itself until now. IMO this is a unique place in Sweden, or anywhere. There are two sewing machines right in the store, and everything is made in Sweden. The designs are delightful and the fabrics are workmanship are quality. Also, I was pleasantly surprised at the prices! The dollar is strong right now and these items were much less than I thought they would be. I bought a computer case, a makeup case, some dish towels and other gifts. Don't miss Hilda Hilda when shopping in Stockholm!

They have a sale a few times a year which is when you'll find some great deals (50% on lots of nice items) on their site. They tend to have a lot of rare items too that you won't find at most German retailers. Another nice feature they offer is integrated order tracking on their website which usually isn't even necessary because their international shiping and delivery is super fast. They tend to ship right after you paid your order. Of course when ordering from outside Sweden you need to be well aware of which sizes fit you, because returning stuff can be expensive even though Caliroots actually refunds you the full shipping costs, which is awesome. For instance I just paid EUR17 for shipping from Germany for returning a jacket that I ordered a size too small (1200g insured shipping via DHL). In conclusion - great choice, regular prices, fantastic service! Highly recommended.

I'm just writing a quick little review because I checked in here last weekend. ;) I do like that this store is right next to a Lagerhaus store. You can hit two somewhat inexpensive (for Sweden) fun stores that carry housewares at the same time. I don't know that I would look for any clothing at this location. The ones in the city center and Odenplan (of course) are much better. I do like that Ahlens has regular sales and a membership club though. so... TIP: sign up for the rewards! It's worth it.
