The attorney advised me to contact her firm to discuss the refund method. So I did. Then, Knowski denied that they had ever made a promise of a refund. Wow. I was too naive to trust their words without documenting their refund promise. Although my experience with Michelle Edens was pleasant, the way Knowski rejected my refund claim was not appropriate. If there were extra time and efforts that should be compensated on top of the fixed retainer fee, they should have mentioned me, instead of disguising the already-paid judge trial fee to extra legal fees that had never been mutually agreed and notified prior to the charge after the closing of the case.
