Expiration Policy Issue I used FIS for a credential…read moreevaluation in 2020. At the time, I thought the report would always remain valid, since my academic degree obviously hasn't changed. Recently, I needed to send the same report to another university, but FIS told me that their reports "expire" after 5 years and that I would need to pay again for a new evaluation. To me, this feels unreasonable. The evaluation was already completed and nothing about my degree has changed. Other services, like Educational Perspectives (EP), allow you to share the same verified report years later through secure platforms like Parchment/Digitary. That way, the institution can still receive and verify the report without students having to pay again. So my advice to other students is: If you think you may need to use the same report again in the future, be aware that with FIS you might have to pay for a full new evaluation after 5 years. I hope FIS will consider changing this policy to be more student-friendly.

Geneviève was a great match to what I was looking for in a teacher--she is warm, easygoing, and patient. She tailored our lessons to my language level--I am an advanced speaker so our weekly meetings (via Zoom due to the pandemic) consisted of friendly chats like two friends catching up over coffee, but entirely in French. However, when I wanted more help with the usage of prepositions, Geneviève had exercises readily available.
