I had the unfortunate experience of being referred to Dr. Scott Russell for podiatry services because he was in a convenient location and I thought I would be doing myself a favour. In fact it was one of the biggest medical mistakes. I required laser toe treatment and this clinic charges almost double what other practitioners charge for the exact same service. Not only that but I felt I was being treated like a can of sardines on a long conveyor belt. Dr. Russell barely looked at me when he came in. It was clear he didn't have the time to waste. He gave me a superficial analysis which he certainly charged a hefty sum for. And he also misdiagnosed how often I would need to come in, causing my condition to return sooner and thus forcing me to add multiple more treatments than I would have otherwise needed. In total I spent 1,500 dollars on my treatment which was still not cured after five tries even though I did not have what he considered a very problematic condition. He said it would be over in a jiffy and it was anything but that. I ended up going to another service provider named White Orchid in Yaletown, far friendlier service, far more honest and prompt and with real results for a fraction of the price, especially using groupon. They solved my problem. I hate making huge mistakes like this and I will never live down how much money I wasted but what is worse is how I felt I wasn't even being cared for as a client. I was literally just a cash cow for this doctor. If you are a doctor and you don't like your job anymore please do us all a favour and quit and find something that does make you happy so you don't make the rest of us miserable! read more
