However, as per the Russell-Fields City Pier website states, "At over 1,500 ft., the City pier is one of the longest piers on the Gulf and offers fantastic fishing opportunities and breathtaking views of open skies, white sandy beaches, sunrises and sunsets. I am not a fisherman by any means, and there were a lot of people fishing here. However, the 1,500 foot pier did look inviting, especially as it transitioned from clear to green to blue water. It's nice that the pier offers a $4.00 all day spectator pass whereby you can get a bracelet and come and go as you please; all day. It is a great spot to fish, people watch, look for marine life or simply watch everyone on the beach or in the water. We didn't stay too long as it was very hot, but the Gulf provided a nice breeze and it was a worthwhile visit. read more

Tony and I went out on Russell Fields Pier at PCB paid $8 total, we saw Dolphins, a stingray swimming by the pier, a school of needle fish and we got up close and personal with 2 Pelicans Definitely would do this again!!! read more

My wife and I were staying in Panama City Beach and the only reason this pier gets four stars is because they charge money to go on it. What!?!?! I have never seen this before. This is a pretty large pier and a lot of fishermen are on it, you are allowed three poles. They have pictures of some pretty big fish pasted up to the window. It is 1,500 feet long and has a nice concrete path down the middle and tons of Pokemon Go stops, if you play that walking game. Lady collecting money at the window was nice and your receipt is good for all day. The water is super clear and everyone we talked to was super nice, just like everyone in Panama City Beach. Pier Park is nearby, which has a lot of great restaurants like Angry Tuna and they have a Target nearby. We had a wonderful day, the day we bought the day pass. read more

Pretty neat pier. There is a charge though to walk or fishing on pier. We saw a shark and some jellyfish. The pier is taken care of no graffiti. It's a tourist attraction but well worth the visit. read more

great spot to walk out and try to catch views of the natural wildlife. was on the pier for less than 5 minutes and saw a school of dolphins and man o wars. I did think $3/person just to walk out on the pier was a little ridiculous - but I did see many people setting up coolers and fishing so I'm sure a lot of people get their money's worth. read more

Not much to say about this because it's just a pier but you can really walk out far over the water so that is pretty cool. They charge a couple of bucks but you can get your hand stamped so you can come multiple times in the same day. If you are into playing Pokemon there is a Pokestop right in the middle so make sure you hit it. There is also a very nice porta potty with running water and everything in the middle in case you need a bio break. You can fish here for a couple extra bucks and there is even a spigot to rinse stuff off. There were a few people fishing when we were here but no one was catching anything. There is also a little shop at the entrance to the pier where you can buy supplies, drinks, and snacks. read more

The bathrooms are filthy and I didn't feel safe at all. There needs to be more security and cleaning. All trash cans were overflowing.

This is probably the highlight of my trip here in Panama City Beach vacation. The serenity on the Russell-Fields Pier was unmatched, the views were picturesque reminiscent of a post card and the crowd was chill. read more

Nice enough pier. Nominal cost to stroll or fish. With amenities nearby and amusement options across the street. Lots of parking. Public bathrooms. But not super clean. Not super long. And lots of folks smoking and hanging around. read more

Great long walk. Only $3 a person for entry the entire day. So you can leave and come back too. Amazing pictures and people watching.

$3 to just walk on the pier and $6 to fish. 5 yrs and under is free and you can rent polls for $12 for 6 hours. I think its a bit pricey for spectators. Its not like they stay there for hours. I paid to walk on there and i was done with the place in 15 mins. I saw some people walk out cause of the price. Lower the price and I'm sure you would get more traffic. But why not~ you're probably on vacation. If the goal is just to have fishermen their, well its working. Its not a bad place and the view is great. They have restrooms in the front of the piers and portable restrooms towards the end of the pier which is convenient for the fishermen. I remember a long time ago fishing here so i wanted to show my kids. I didn't get to fish cause they are a bit young but its a place I plan to come back someday to reel in some big fish! read more

I grew up on this pier. I never liked this one until the rebuilt it to the concrete years back. When we went on vacation in july, and I had to hit the pier. The pricing is cheap. Pole rentals are available at a fair rate, and frozen bait is always on hand. Even if you don't fish much, they can set you up to catch something. Thanks for the experience County Pier. OMG this place is spectacular, 1500ft out in the Gulf. We went here it was very windy so make sure you don't have anything lose otherwise it will blow away. $3 entry but you can come back throughout the day/night up until midnight. This is a beautiful pier. The earlier you get here the better the parking. With this being such a popular place to go, the bathrooms are always crowded. The do have s porter potty on the pier. They do have a shop if you forgot anything. read more

Night fishing fun, come out at 7,00pm and see Kenny in his green kayak take out 30lb tuna as shark bait for the fishermen 450' out from the pier, Drop it they shout at the precise moment as Kenny comes back for another and if he is a lucky a slice of pizza. Most fun I had fishing. I'm from West Virginia and this is way different fishing to me. Nice people on the pier showed me tips on fishing in the ocean. I caught a lot of bait fish on a sabaki rig. We caught shark, butterfly rays, bullhead catfish, blue fish, and Spanish mackerel. You can see Dolphins and sea turtles while on the pier. It was great I loved it. read more
