Over the summer Bryce and I got the opportunity to go out and pick our own blueberries. He had…read morebeen wanting to try one of the "u-pic" places for a while now, so off we went! It was beautiful they have a great garden and know which plants work best in our area, which is something I really needed help with. They have several bottle tree's through the area that give a pop of color and interest as your walking around looking at everything. This is a great place to pick up local produce and show your price in your community. Their prices aren't high, and they haven't been pushed up like you see some of the places right off the highway have been. They have a lot of different products for sell and I truly believe there something for everyone. I think this will be place we come back to many times just to see what else they have.

This lovely nursery is out among the farm fields of Michigan's western harbor and wine country…read more They have small display gardens which were pretty and could be worth a visit in themselves. The nursery was packed with both old standards and new, unique varieties, which was delightful. I could have walked around for ages and I'm sure my family would say that I already did! The staff here is excellent- several staff members were able to walk me around and help me to find exactly the variety that would work best for me in several situations... and I'm pretty picky, as a landscape architect and horticulturist. It was like candy for me to be able to walk around with these experts and pick their brains on different qualities of each cultivar- I learned new things, which is always a win. In the end, I went home with a Baetzella peony that I had been searching for at a very good price, a great dwarf Japanese Maple (they have so many to choose from!), and a unique, funny little evergreen that they bred right there at the nursery. Especially if you're looking for a nursery with a great evergreen selection and a lot of knowledge, this is a must-see.
