There was a large selection of items from musical instruments, appliances, clothes, shoes, craft items, pictures, antique dishes etc. Some items did not have price tags or signs. I asked one of the Staff about the price of clothing and hurriedly she pointed to the signs above the stand; name brand clothing was one of the higher priced items. What is "name brand" in this state? The vintage clothing was on a seperate rack. The drums were priced at $75 set. I asked what included the set and the young woman said "all of these" waving her hand over many drum items. I intended to contact someone who purchases/sells drum sets, but the manager refused to give me their WiFi password-understandably. We spent about an hour looking around. The restrooms were clean and huge. One Staff person was very helpful when my sister purchased a medium sized ceramic wind chime and mentioned that she wanted to ship it to her home out of state. the other Staff person said "no, we don't have a scale". This one specific Staff person said "yes, follow me we have a food distribution area and there is a scale in that room" .She took my sister to the room to weigh her windchime, then offered packing material and a box for the 6.7 pound item. The building facade is brick for storm safety and not much glass frontage. Given they were busy with stocking shelves and bringing in items from outside from local people donating. I felt they could have been more helpful. I ended up purchasing 3 blouses and 2 pair of earrings. Then-because there was a Mardi Gras event going on-we were allowed to pick a plastic toy from which there was a percentage discount on our purchases.

My son and husband were beyond patient with us as we browsed this amazing thrift store! Prices and quality cannot be beat. There were several name brand clothing items to be found along with amazing housewares and crafting items. I love to scrapbook, and there were many items related to the hobby to be found. I have to circle back to mentioning the prices. Skirts and shorts were around $2.50 each, and tops were about $2 each. Jeans seemed just below $5, if memory serves, but I wasn't in the mood to browse jeans as I need shirts most of all right now. Purses were BOGO on this weekend, and I grabbed two for just over $1. One pair of Gap shorts I purchased was $2.49. Cannot be beat! Customer service was exemplary, and I walked out of there with a lot of great buys. Even if it's a bit of a drive for you, I'd say it's totally worth it given the great amount of brand names on hand. Keep in mind that they close at 1 pm on Saturday.

HORRIBLE EXPERIENCE! MY granddaughter and I went to do a meet and treat with a 12 wk old kitten…read morethat I was approved to adopt. After arriving and speaking with a staff member my granddaughter and I spent an hour falling in love with this little gal. Before leaving we were going to pay her adoption fee and ask a few more questions only to be told that the kitten wouldn't be a good fit and doesn't get along with other cats. Which clearly stated on her page that she was good with other cats! After listening to there reasons that she wouldn't be a good fit I told them that my granddaughter and I had already fallin in love with her and I was willing to give her a try and to work with her if needed to only be totally discouraged to even do that. I don't understand how when we first arrived we were not told this information immediately so we didn't spend an hr with her becoming totally attached and in love with her. They could of also called me prior to the visit but didn't! I specifically told the gal that I was looking for a playmate for the cat that I already have right when we arrived! The least they could of done was be willing to let us give her a try instead of discouraging us in every way possible! They said the choice was mine but every time I said I would still take her they went on and on about it just wasn't going to work! So clearly the choice wasn't mine! My 10 yr old granddaughter was in tears all the way home and I'm SO DISAPPOINTED UPSET AND HEART BROKEN I don't even want to adopt another kitten at this point! Such and awful experience!

Did you know they are the worlds top distributor of dark red kidney beans? Who knows how many beans I've eaten that came from here. It's almost as if fate brought me close to Chippewa Valley Bean, as if to bring me home, to the place where so many of the beans that helped to grow my bones and organs had their beginning. Someday I will give them back.
