Dodgy dye job…read more.. Please don't go here and get any colour done. The cut and blowdry was great but unfortunately my highlights were streaky and hideous (I'm naturally dark blonde/light brown anyway, so to make it look so streaky is quite the accomplishment). Think Rogue in the 2000 film X Men. Yes, there was one random white streak at the front, like i'd been electrocuted. On the upside the staff are all welcoming and friendly and the interiors are stylish, with a fantastic location (just opposite Hampstead tube). More than that it's only fair to say that (after a cancellation on their part and having to chase with a few emails), they did arrange for me to have it re-done, free of charge, and they handled the whole thing in a very professional manner. But that isn't enough for me to warn people off!

I will return (and the best thing about this is you get money off your next appointment when you book that same day). The only downside is having to use my debit card versus a credit card (which I use to get airline miles).

I'm not sure if the massage is a new offering, as it's not on their website and the service is a bit odd - the therapy room is very small, and Alexandra had to move my table once or twice during the massage to manoeuvre around it.

Somehow in this tiny salon (which is barely big enough 'to swing a cat in'), 4 stylists manage to clip, colour and style their customers. They seem to have a very large number of repeat customers - so they must be doing something right. Unlike many adult salons, the stylists here are good with kids. They are patient when they fidget and cut quickly enough so they don't get too bored. That said, it can get noisy and crowded, so it is not ideal for the very young or those who are frightened of getting their hair cut. If you are after lots of pampering then you should try elsewhere, but if you just want a good cut at a reasonable price, you may want to try here.

The staff - who change every 3 or 4 months - are utterly untrained, never listen, and are completely and damagingly incompetent. My hair was cut this morning - clipper were used on the back, and the "cutters" (ha!) hand slipped twice leaving two completely bald patches; the scissor cut at the front is ragged, uneven and patchy. Went to this hairdressers on Saturday to get a full head of highlights and a cut. Reasonable price…read more(£105 all up including blow dry) however what let this place down was it's cramped feel it's a very small shop (over two floors) and the whole time I was there people were rushing up and down the stairs and squeezing past. The guy doing my hair obviously ran the place as every 5 minutes someone would interrupt his work to ask him how much they should charge someone or if he could just check on what they were doing (quite frustrating when it takes a long time to get highlights done!). In the end I was fairly happy (although I needed toner and was not offered it so hair came out slightly golder than usual). Last but not least, when I finally went to pay with credit card I was told they take cash only or offered the option of a cheque so I was forced to draw money off my credit card at the nearest bank. Not ideal! I would only recommend if you wanted a haircut for cheap, not worth the hassle just to save a bit of money on colour.

WARNING: Do NOT book via the automated system…read more I booked to get my hair cut, couloured, and blown dry via the automated system. I got a confirmation email stating that if I had to cancel within 24 hours I would still owe half the amount (approx £100) for missing the appointment. Fair enough - I appreciate that and would have honored it if I had to cancel at the last minute. As it turns out, I left work early and got to the salon promptly on time. I was told they didn't have my booking. I showed my confirmation email (with fee for cancellation). Then, I was told they were having problems with the automated booking system, that no one was available to do my hair - I would only be able to have either the colour done or the cut - not both. AND the service would in any case be with a junior stylist (I had booked with a senior and was willing to pay for it). Uh, no thanks. One star is for the hypocrisy of charging customers half of the cost for cancelling within 24 hours and not offering the customer any compensation when the customer took time away from work and the salon cancelled at the last minute. Bad business practice, Trevor Sorbie. You shouldn't expect to have it both ways. I'm taking my business elsewhere even though the staff in the salon seemed very nice and were very apologetic. Hence, warning - call in to the salon like it's the 1990s, don't trust the automated system. Here's an idea, why not discontinue use of the automated system until it works? Anyway, lots of good reviews so I'm hoping this warning helps you avoid my issue (and get to love the salon like everyone else).

Cons: - I think this salon is supported or partially owned by a certain hair care product company because she wouldn't stop chatting away about the shampoo and conditioner, trying to sell me some for later. As did the stylist later when he was putting product in my hair. - Stylist gave me a mom mullet with sideways bangs...or front layers with asymmetrical fringe as he called it. - Went to the counter and they charged me 45 pounds plus tax. For a "senior stylist, long haircut"....my hair was a little above my shoulders. After it had grown out a bit and I cut my fringe back into a straight line I didn't mind it but that's not what's supposed to happen after a haircut. I didn't say anything about the charge at the time, I should have mentioned the sign outside but I was just too shy.
