I've never tried the Rush hair salons before despite them being all over London, i'm often weary about franchise/chain hair salons. However, one popped up in my local area and they were offering 50% off to new clients. I was in REAL need of a trim and refresh of my layers so decided on a whim to give them a go. I had asked to be booked in with the creative director, the owner of the salon, which they quoted me at £49, and would be reduced to £24.50 due to the 50% off. Bargain hair cut! When I arrived for my appointment, I was given someone else without explanation, a 'top stylist' - this slightly annoyed me as I was expecting my hair cut to be with who I booked with after reading good reviews on her. I didn't want to make a fuss so just went with it. It was an average cut so i'm relieved i'm only paying half price, nothing special and nothing offensive. I have asian straight hair which is pretty straightforward to cut and style. I asked for a deep treatment to which he recommended a Kerastase Fusio-Masque for my hair type, I hardly felt like it was on my hair long enough before it was washed out? It was over before I knew it! Cost me £20, I did not feel like it made much of a difference to my hair tbh. In the end, I paid £24.50 (the price of the creative director) when he was only a top stylist, charged at £44. I should have paid £22 but didn't want to be petty over a few quid so paid up and left. Thought that was all quite shady, so I won't be back. None-the-less, got an alright trim for cheap. read more
