Just enjoyed a beautiful evening on the river celebrating our friends anniversary! Captain Bob was easy going and very informative. We did the evening cruise (last one of the night) and the city was breathtaking! Highly recommend!

Captain Bob is a pretty cool guy! Super chill, relaxed, and friendly! His boat is very nice and clean! He is only allowed to charter 6 people at once, so the boat allows plenty of space for everyone. You can also bring food and alcohol on board. I'm not sure what the minimum and maximum time limit is, but the cost is about $100 an hour, so try to bring 6 people if you can. He's also able to pull a tube, but it's an extra $55 for 15 mins. We had a great time with Captain Bob! He picked us up by the convention center, and dropped us off at Heinz field because we were going to a concert. He will work with you and pick up/ drop off wherever he can!

Captain Bob is amazing! I highly recommend him for a run day on the boat or a nice evening on the water. Bob is very friendly, reasonably priced, professional and laid back. He can take up to 6 people at once, but 6 is the max. Even though his boar would fit more, his captains license only allows him to charter 6 people at the most. Bob books up quick, so make sure you book him in advance. He has his boat in the water May- Oct. his boat is very clean and well kept. It even has a bathroom! Bob usually picks you up in front of the convention center and can drop you off anywhere in the area. He has life jackets if you'd like to jump on and you can bring whatever food or alcohol you'd like for the trip. Non has truly seen jt all... check out his FB photos. Everything from weddings to funerals, engagements and bachelorette parties in between. If you haven't yet booked a ride with Captain Bob, do so! He is awesome!

What an amazing experience my friends and I had with this boat charter. The yacht came with all the amenities and Captain Bob was awesome. I can't wait to book again.

This is absolutely a treat for anyone with roots here or a fascination with industry and manufacturing. The highlights: Most tours are guided by former steelworkers and people with a first-hand involvement in the steel industry. You get a great overview of the plant, which was the center of life for this community and the lifeblood of the region for more than a century. Our tour placed a heavy emphasis on the engineering and technology of steelmaking, so if that's your thing, it's Christmas. And it's a minor miracle that these two blast furnaces have been preserved. I would suggest that they augment the tours with photos or videos that might help bring these hulking structures to life a bit more, and maybe insert some specific stories about immigrants and working families, union battles, and other colorful bits about Homestead. Sure, a windfall of donor support and a visitor center would go a long way to improving things on that score, but a little shift in emphasis could be done on a budget. Either way, Rivers of Steel is hugely important for preserving the region's steel heritage, and their efforts to extend that support to the community are vital.

There was a photographer ready to take a picture pre boarding and a large friendly staff helping everyone aboard. The boat was very clean, and had three levels in which each deck was also clean and accessible. The bathrooms were very clean and the it was warm and cozy with holiday decor for our very large group. The food was served buffet style and had gluten free and vegan options for passengers via pre order. We had a great bartender and wonderful waiters and waitresses constantly cleaning finished glasses and dishes. We also had a DJ with dancing and just a great time all around. The boat began disembarking as we were eating and before we knew it the views were beautiful along the River front with all of the city lights and Sister Bridges lit up Round trip I believe it was about 1 1/2 to 2 hours. The place was bustling in the middle of the afternoon, and I was lucky to secure the last stool at the bar. The espresso martini drew my eye, and I thought I should have a snack to go with it. I ordered the $12 Devil's Eggvocate. Four deviled egg halves were topped with smoked paprika, pickled jalapeño slices, and bacon jam made with their own coffee liqueur (Photo 9). It's a cash only business. However, I was told they had 5-6 available, so we rushed straight there. When we got there we were told there was only 1 paddle board. We reluctantly rented a hydrobike, a paddleboard and 2 kayaks. I didn't want to waste my money to pay for something we didn't want, and my kids were disappointed, but if they only had 1, what else could we do after driving the whole way there and only having a couple hour window to spend together before my oldest had to work? I asked to be put on a waitlist for one and the lady literally said, "Well, I guess I could start one, but you would have to be up here to get it." So I asked if one came in, could we be first in line and she said yes. I then watched one come in, so I gave her the kayak chip and asked to exchange it for a paddle board chip, but she said that the paddle boarder had to pay first. With time ticking on our rentals we waited for her to come up and pay and then watched her leave. Afterward, I was told that there was still no paddle board available. So we gave up and walked down to the dock and I explained that we had a chip for a hydrobike, a paddleboard, and 2 kayaks but that we wanted another paddleboard or 2, and pointed to the pile of them laying there. The dock worker assured me that they had 4 available and as we were talking another came in. He walked up with me to the table where you get the chips and they told him that the paperwork showed that there were none available, and so we couldn't get one. Seriously? We went back down to the dock and one of the guys got 2 paddle boards out for us, but then saw the chips we had and put one back. I asked if we could keep it since there were plenty available and one of the employees yelled at me and said that there must be people waiting for them or they would've given us a chip for one. There were 5 paddleboards, no one waiting but us since she had no wait list and didn't start one but told us we could have one if one came in. We never did get another paddle board and our hour was cut short as we waited for them. This place is incompetently and poorly run, and they didn't even try to remedy our situation by physically looking to see that there were boards available. How hard is that? Common sense is not strong with these folks! We received no apology and no extra time on our rental. On a rare occasion when I had my kids available together on a beautiful day and we all wanted to have fun paddle boarding together, we couldn't because the paperwork said that none were available, even though there were 5! You can't make this stuff up!!!
