Came out of the salon today very disapointed, went for hair colouring couldnt even get that right I admit I have quite a lot of grey hair but they couldnt manage to cover up the grey roots very patchy result. Customer service unacceptable husband came with me and had to walk around the shops in the cold this salon has NO seating for waiting customers. I arrived early for my appointment and was looked at very strangely and told you are 20 minutes early! as there is no seating for waiting husband and i had to leave and go for a coffee. Had my hair cut aswell what a total waste of money and time the guy took a total of 10 minutes on my hair when I left my hair looked worse than when i went in. I refused to pay for the colouring ended up paying £59.00 for a 10 minute trim and hair dried with the diffusser which he wasnt too sure how to use. Hair was very frizzy and dry when i left as he applied 3 different hair products so hair was quite crisp and stiff. I have naturally curly hair I think this frightened him. I will be going back to my old salon TREVOR SORBIE always been 100% happy just thought I would try somewhere local to save travelling up to London but after this experience it will be worth the effort. Dear Rush I was looking for a new hairdressers and came across your website that directed me to your Maidstone Branch and here in brief was my experience that is in direct contradiction to your 'vision' My hair cut and half head of highlights was carried out by three different staff, this did not instil any confidence in the first consultation I was jabbed in the face when the colour was being applied I was not given a patch test I was constantly pushed to buy more treatment or products, why if the normal product were quality. In fact before it was cut the stylist mentioned the ends that could do woth an extra condition at a tenner... when they were gonna be cut off. I was poked in the eye as the colour was being rinsed off I was burnt on the scalp during the blow dry brought the issues to whoever was doing my hair at the time and was not given an apology Uncomfortable pushing at the end to rebook The end result was ok and the words uttered by the manager was 'anyone could do the cut and colour you had' I am so disappointed read more

I went here (maidstone branch) for the first time and I say to anyone reading these reviews PLEASE NEVER GO TO THIS SALON. I have incredibly fine hair, it's genetic and it comes out if pulled easily. I think I lost half my hair to the woman who washed it. I said my hair is delicate, she seemed to have blades on her fingers..it was the most painful experience I have ever had in a hair dressers.I tried to say something but she wasn't interested at all. The man who cut my hair was again not interested and insisted asking me how school was going. Being 22 I'm not AT school anymore and when I corrected him to say I was actually a third year university student he belittled me with yeah schoolI know nothing was probably meant by this but he made me feel extremely uncomfortable. As for the cut, he made my thin hair look even thinner, used products I'd have to pay an extra arm and a leg for to achieve the look and didn't seem to bothered by anything going onnone of them didDid I mention the pressure to re-book afterwards? Very disappointed in the service I received at this salon for the price that i paid. Where do I start? I was left waiting at least 15 minutes before the stylist assigned to me finaly came and did the 'consultation' which lasted less than a minute, and mostly consisted of the stylist trying to convince me to by a conditioning service for an extra £10 when my hair is short?? I had to wait even longer before my drink was served! I felt as if I were an inconvenience to the stylist and was keeping her from a more interesting conversation in the staff room. Not to mention the fact that she smelt strongly of cigarettes, which as a non-smoker made me feel quite ill. The colour I ended up with in no way resembled the colour that i had asked for in the 'consultation'. The cut was OK but certainly not worth the price. I won't be returning to Rush and I definitely do not recomend it if you enjoy a relaxing salon experience. read more

Went to Rush a few days ago on recommendation from a relative after my own hairdresser moved away after 10years. Was worried sick about having hair cut by someone new but I needn't have been. The staff were friendly and chatty, refreshments and mags served quickly and my stylist was super. He gave me an excellent cut and blow dry and I felt like I was about to walk on to a catwalk instead of Fremlin Walk! When I arrived home my husband said it was the best he'd seen my hair and has suggested I have it redone ready for the night of his birthday party!! Not something he usually promotes!! Yes they haven't got a waiting area, but they do have a side room to wash your hair so you do not have to be on display to the public looking like a drowned rat! Can thoroughly recommend and looking forward to returning there. read more

One Star is being generous about the service here! I went in to get my hair coloured and cut. they had overbooked and didnt have time for my cut. The service is terrible, i felt like i was on a conveyor belt, and was dealt with about 5 different stylists in the shop so it was rubbish to build a rappor with any of them. it cost me £80 which isnt cheap and left the shop with my hair looking terrible. the colour was great but they didnt have time to style it or blow dry it so i came out with a worse style than before i went in! for this amount of money, i expect a friendly attentive and kind service. This was not given as you they are certainly not interested in making a good impression for you to go back and re book. Never again. read more

Rush is an excellent salon. I've been living in Maidstone for 5 years now and I've tried 4 or 5 different places but have finally settled at Rush to get my hair cut every 3 to 4 weeks. Rush brings together three things that in my opinion makes a great salon. Friendly professional staff an excellent hair cut at an affordable price. The receptionist always has a smile, my stylist always makes me laugh and the shampoo and head massage always nearly sends me to sleep! Having my hair cut at Rush is a genuinely enjoyable experience it's like going to a good friends house to relax and have a chin wag with the added bonus of a fantastic hair cut. 5 Stars would definitely recommend. read more

I could not be happier with my Hair I have been to several hairdressers in and around Maidstone over the last 4 year, SO PLEASED that i have finally found a Salon that is able to meet my needs. Not only is the Salon clean tidy and incredibly stylish, the staff couldn't do enough to look after me whilst i was there. My Stylist walked & talked me through the haircut explaining what was happening (as i was nervous) - Very professional and extremely welcoming. Just returned from Rush, having had a great cut as always! My stylist Ant is fantastic. Very professional with a knack of putting you at ease in the chair. I would recommend the salon to all ages as my children also go there and they are made equally as welcome by not only the stylist but the whole team! I have very thick hair and found Rush the only salon in Maidstone where they can confidently cut it properly. A great experience time and time again! read more

Disappointing and disgustingly over priced given poor service. First visit I asked for an asymmetric crop and ended up with a boring bob. Second visit they took over 2 hours just to apply a full head colour (on short hair) and rinse it off. Bitchy atmosphere. Often feel as though you've been forgotten about, especially when it takes 45 minutes before a complimentary drink is offered. Will not be returning to be ripped off with third rate service! read more

I have been going to Rush for 3 years now and I received nothing but great service. My stylist Becca always greets me with a smile and offers me a personal service. I am always pleased with the results and she always tries to achieve te best results for my hair possible. The prices are high but I have found you must pay for quality when dealing with something as visible as your hair. Plus the Wednesday half price colour deal is a fab offer! read more

I had my hair done at Rush in maidstone today was so pleased with the result staff and customer service were very friendly and positive. I have used this place every few weeks since it opened, great atmosphere and very welcoming. Everyone is happy to help and the service is quality. I would highly recommend friends and family to rush as everyone is just nice to talk too, not got a bad thing to say really. just Awesome read more
