Their prices are competitive with on-line retailers. As others have said Rural King has a high employee turn over rate. Employees seem to have their hearts in the right place but are not always helpful. Long checkout lines seem to have been recegonized by management but they could still be improved. Garden seeds are fair quality at best. I buy mine elsewhere. read more

At the Vincennes, IN store, if you are going to shop there, be prepared to wait a long time in the check-out! Not always, but way too many times they are backed up several customers deep (6 to 10 is not uncommon) with only one, maybe two, check-out lanes open. read more

I want to love this location, but it's mediocre at best. It's never really clean and always smells funky. The worst part is probably the employees and customer service. There's a high turnover rate, so there is always someone new that doesn't know how to use the register, if it works that is. The lines are long due to broken registers and the wait can sometimes be painful. A self-check out would be helpful. It's also a crapshoot wondering if the employee helping you is going to be in a good mood or not. On several occasions I hear employees conversing with one another about their negative options of being employed there. That's never good. Having said that, you grin and bear it because it can be a "one stop shop" for several things, one being a large selection of pet supplies. I still love Rural King, but they need to work on a few things for sure! read more

I will never buy another item from this store. The managers have lied to me time and time again. I was promised up to 500 dollars worth of acessories for my side by side because of taking 3 months to fix it still havent seen anything. If it has any kind of a motor on it dont buy it there, and dont have them work on anything. read more

Free popcorn is just the beginning. Rural King has everything that is country folk could need. Great for keeping us from having to run into the big city down the road. read more
