I didn't know that animals were treated so badly by a major company until I saw first hand the MOLD growing on the floor from it not being mopped and the urine clomps caked to the insides of the cages with feces strewn about for the rabbits to try to live in!!! The manager and the whole crew need to be fired for this!!! How can you be a Manager and not look at every aspect of the store and not see this??? It seems funny shopping at Rural King, mainly because of the name but I occasionally go to Tractor Supply, so why not Rural King? Rural King is a bit different because they have some food and snacks. They also have some equipment, clothes, and yard stuff. I bought a few things, and their prices seemed to be equal to or slightly better than Walmart. I suppose it's because the store looks less finished, but the employees seem more happy to be working there than they do at Walmart. read more

James working outside at New Castle Rular King is a example of what every employee should become. He acknowledges the customer, is polite, and knowledgeable. If he doesn't know the answer, then he is quick to find a solution. I was about to leave the store empty handed because the fence posts inside were not stocked and the one that I did find could not be scanned for a price. On the way out I found the fence posts that I had originally tried to find, they were located outside of the store, but they were bundled and heavy also the pricing was confusing as I wasn't sure if the price was for each post or the whole bundle. So there I was about to leave again empty handed and a little frustrated about my Rular King experience. This is where I came across James who took the time to figure out the pricing for me and also made sure to load these heavy posts for me. This was exceptional service today. My 96 year old mother bought a space heater 1 month ago and it stopped working. Her neighbor took it back to this store and they said the fan stopped working. They would not exchange it or give her a store credit or a refund. They did nothing to help her and the average temperature was around 20 degrees. Needless to say...she will never buy another thing in a Rural King. read more

I generally love Rural King. In fact, we drove over 35 minutes to visit this store for something new. This particular store is a dump! Aisles were blocked with stock to be put out and most items that we were interested in were not priced. The clothing, hunting, and gun barn areas had very poor selection compared to other RKs. Upon checkout, the young man helping us said his day would be a whole lot better once he takes his lunch break so he can take an epic nap. A real go-getter he was. Save yourself some time and visit another RK location or shop online. read more

Very horrible visit. On the website said the items were in stock. Drove hours to find out that they were not actually even there.

Rural king has bit of everything in there store. The only thing I don't like is the mice that run around. make sure you take a friend home
