As always! She took great care of my sweet Kitty! I brought her in at 7am and picked her up at 3pm. She's eating both her dry and wet food and drinking plenty of water! There have been no complications. Thank goodness. It took about 4 days for her to start playing with her toys and feeling really good.. all the staff were very compassionate and helpful! I always feel they are thorough and I REALLY appreciated the detailed anesthetic report after her teeth cleaning. I love that if your dog is afraid or develops a fear of the vet, you can bring them in for "happy visits"- they'll take your animal to the back and just play for 5-10 minutes and then send you on your way! From the very beginning, they made sure not only that Dirk was being cared for, but that I was supported as well during a very difficult time. Every interaction felt thoughtful and genuine. The staff took the time to answer questions, walk me through options, and ensure I felt informed and not alone in the decisions I had to make. What meant the most to me, though, was what happened after. I received (handwritten) signed condolence cards from their staff. That small but meaningful gesture spoke volumes about the kind of people they are. It showed that they truly care - not just about the pets they treat, but about the families who love them. Even though this was an incredibly hard experience, I'm grateful that Dirk and I were surrounded by people who treated us with such kindness and respect. We made an appointment to visit, and found her in the back of a small cattery. She was very scared, hesitant. Her bio said she was a, "Watcher", not a lap cat. Holding her on my legs, she suddenly relaxed into me. That's when I knew she was coming home with us. Before six months were up, she was sleeping next to me, following me room to room, and wanting cuddles. We took her with us when we moved to Madagascar, and brought her home with us three years later. Now she's 19, and still talkative, cuddly, and energetic.
