Zomp is fantastic. During the cold winter months here in Melbourne I would find myself staring at…read morethe window displays and dreaming of the boots that were inside. While I am familiar with the other Zomp stores, the Flinders Lane boutique is particularly nice. Walking inside a building with a turn of the century façade you'll find a very minimalist display of shoes, not unlike a gallery space. This is a pretty clever decision because there are no decorations or features to overwhelm you; your eyes just go straight to the shoes. Soft suede, Italian leather, high boots, short heeled boots, brogues and flats. Zomp really does have it all. The sales assistants are brilliant too. You'd think that in such an austere setting that they would be a little intimidating, but it's the opposite: they are friendly and very helpful. Even though the prices are a little higher than what you might pay at an average shoe store, the quality is worth it. I really do think Zomp is the best destination for cutting edge designs that look like they are straight out of a magazine.

I want shoes that will last me years, classic models that will never go out of style. Instead all I seem to be able to find are clunky heels and cheap high street imitations. This is where Zomp differs. A boutique women's shoe store, it offers cutting edge, premium quality shoes as reasonable prices. The Flinders Lane store features an expansive and well designed space that is perfectly fit out to display the multitudes of fine shoes that are stocked. Whether you're looking for boots, heels or flats this is the place to go. Soft Italian leather, unique designs and extensive size ranges, Zomp is the ultimate shoe store.

Either my Mum was a soft touch or my persuasion tactics were highly developed even at a young age, but I got those $160 Mollini shoes and I rocked them am every high school dance and wedding for about three years after. It's only a small store and they don't only just stock Mollini shoes anymore, but the selection is good and the staff are helpful running up and down stairs to help you get the sizes you need. Avoid the peak hours of lunchtime and just after work if you want more attention and a bit more space to spread out all the items you're trying on. Let's hope the $150 pair of stilettos I bought a week ago last for as many years as my very first pair of Mollinis.
A great selection for shoes, boots, and sandals- especially for those who require more arch support…read morethan others! My poor feet had been hurting from all the walking and travelling that I've been doing. Because I had already worn down my former Orthaheel sandals, I was due for a new pair. Shoes are great, but living in Hawaii and California for nearly all my life has conditioned me to wear sandals on a regular basis. I needed something quick, easy, and comfortable when I head out the door. The Walking Company provided many options for that! Many shoe stores I've visited rarely stocked orthopedic footwear- the only exception being the podiatrist clinic. Unfortunately, there is not much selection in design in such places. While my primary aim was to find orthopedic sandals, I also had a strong preference with ones with pretty designs. Although I have a foot problem, I don't necessarily want to advertise it to the world! Some footwear brands, such as Vionic and Orthaheel, offer this extra feature. I like the illusion of wearing cute sandals that don't look like orthopedic crutches. If I'm going to be spending extra money on special sandals, they best look nice! In actuality, I didn't have to spend extra money for nice sandals at The Walking Company! They were having a sale and much of their shoe prices were reduced. A pair of Ahnu sandals that originally costed $149 were on sale for only $89. The prices are still a little steep for me, but most orthopedic footwear is expensive. This was a pretty good deal. Also, they have a return/exchange policy that's pretty good. You can try out the shoes and see how it feels at home for a few days, and if it's not the right fit you are welcome to return it. The staff was really helpful and friendly! I am probably the most indecisive person in the world! It takes a while for me to decide what I really want. When it comes to making a decision that's going to affect your daily life (i.e. shoes, sandals), you want to make sure it's a worthy investment, right? The lady helping me was very attentive and wasn't put off by my lack of decision-making skills. After spending a while deciding between all the options, I decided to check out the Ahnu sandals. It can definitely be difficult to find shoes that's just the right fit. If you want a wide selection of footwear, I would definitely recommend this place. They cater to both men and women. From sandals to boots to orthopedic ware, they've got you covered!

I am a big fan of Merrell's as they have the vibram sole that I know will last climbing any mountain. If you ever wondered what a visual representation of a cacophony of shoes would look like, then…read moreShoes Direct Factory Outlet in Brunswick will probably give you a clue. Shoes. Shoes everywhere. Not unkempt, mind, just numerous. The front section of the store features the latest stock in all styles from boots through to sandals, work shoes and sneakers, ballet slippers through to high heels and wedges right through to all of the above in children's sizes (though with notably fewer high heels in the kiddie section). The stock reflects the fashion trends amongst the various staple designs that pop up every row or so. Out the back are the heavily discounted odds and ends leftover from other seasons and trends, or were simply relegated there when the more common sizes sold out. This section is an unmoving parade of bargains for people with the right foot size, with all of it down to the last couple of pairs, so it's a generally hit and miss affair. The shoes are all from different brands and designers, largely from within your standard cheap to mid-range venture, so unless you're very gentle with your footwear you needn't expect your purchases to last long term. Prices start at $5 in the back room right through to standard mid quality boot prices. Highly convenient, if a tad overwhelming, from sheer force of its size.

Even sadder, bad feet shoes are typically pretty ugly. Don't get me wrong, Peter Sheppard isn't short of an ugly shoe. A gamut of handbags and wallets from the like of AnnaPelle, Diana Ferrari, Levis, Jag and Fiorelli…read moreamong many others, this store is an efficient way to find the most beloved of women's accessories. Although there's also a range of largely high heeled shoes available, there's not nearly as many on offer as there are handbags. The stock changes over fairly regularly, and there's the odd sample hiding amongst the clones. The styles are as numerous as there are handbags, so you can find a plain work satchel-style bag as easily as a brightly coloured statement handbag. There's also a range of luggage down the back. The quality varies from brand to brand, and the odd leather bag may turn out not to be leather after all. Nonetheless, every purchase I've ever made from this store has been a magnet for compliments and my main handbag is still going strong after a year of heavy use. It's always the first place I go for a new handbag or wallet.

Great for those small white Saucony gym socks for those all important body attack classes and marathon running events. I was impressed to also buy a new pair of slick Asics running shoes for only $90 (instead of $150) which was fantastic and a blessing in disguise for losing my other running shoes at the gym, and this was a Tuesday afternoon after work (while I was still a suit): great service, and thankfully a new pair of shoes in time for body pump and body attack on the trot (addicted maniac I know) that same evening, as if nothing had ever happened. A great sports retailer I would recommend to others without any hesitation. You should be able to find what you need as the range is so diverse.

After reading the Yelp reviews for Bared Footwear promising nice shoes that were good for your feet…read moreand podiatrist recommended, I immediately made plans to get down there and check it out. I used to have orthotics and have a bit of a dodgy body so it piqued my interest. But mostly I thought their mens' shoes range could be the answer to my hospitality-worker husband's problematic feet and recent pain issues. He now has a really lovely looking pair of work shoes that won't kill his feet. Bonus for me, I found two really nice pairs of casual shoes for him that he equally loves. So while we didn't get them all there and then (shoes here cost between $200-$290 a pair) it looks like I will finally get to stop nagging him to stop wearing thongs out and get him into some decent weekend shoes soon! Wife win. The women's shoes range have flats, loafers and heels. Most have an ankle strap to hold you in and stop toe-clawing. I found them a bit bulky for what I'm used to, but they're super comfy and I think I'll probably end up with a pair of the loafer style that comes up higher on the foot and doesn't need the strap. Right now I'm holding out for their new season winter boots as I myself do a fair bit of running around on foot. The staff were really friendly and knowledgable. They assured us that if there were any problems with the shoes at all, we could bring them back and they can refit the insole to sort any issues. Apparently they get people bringing back shoes after years to readjust the sole - making the price tag not only worth the investment, but actually a pretty good bargain for what you're getting. The buckle actually broke on my husband's shoes on his first day of wear which we were pretty surprised by, but they fixed it immediately and gave him some free polish for the inconvenience. Definitely sold on these guys.

The customer service is what makes me say that I'll never shop with Bared again. Take a week to reply, instead of helping with a refund try to sell more and generally don't seem at all keen to help. The fact that they don't do refunds was also poorly advertised on their website, so I only found out about it when it was too late. Such a waste of my time and money!
