I planned to stop off here for the night on my way from Portland to Reno. I didn't really know what to expect. An Arnold Palmer designed course in the north sierras... It was awesome! I went out at 8 am on a Sunday. Two other groups were playing but it was otherwise all to myself out there. After the front nine, I grabbed my girlfriend to ride along on the back 9. I really love the signature 9th hole and holes 13-16 up through the trees. A great experience. It's too bad the cost is so high.

Beautiful and challenging golf course. Well maintained and the scenery is gorgeous. Golf pro shop was stocked and employees working were helpful.

What a course... from the first couple holes on the water, to the elevation changes in the Forrest. It was in phenomenal shape when I played last week despite a rough winter, staff were friendly as hell and the course kicked my butt just how I wanted it to. Will def be back when I'm in the area on business, hands down best course in KFS and only Arnie course in oregon. Only negative I can add is that I wish the carts had GPS... with as high end as the place is, it would be expected.

Avoid using this place as a venue - especially for weddings. Kim, the sales manager/defacto wedding coordinator has no clue what she's doing and her incompetence showed during a recent wedding I attended. The food was overcooked, the sound system in the reception hall was unbalanced and was only on one side of the room and they were just overall not an acceptable staff to work with. I recomend anything else to better represent Klamath Falls.

I booked the resort room through hotels dot com for $150, but didn't realize they had an Arnold Palmer course.

Oak Knoll is our local Ashland gem…read more You can find nicer courses in the Rogue Valley, and you can find cheaper ones too, but you can't beat Oak Knoll for overall value, in my opinion. This is a full length 9-hole course. It has enough challenge in it, to make is interesting, yet isn't overly punishing for shots that don't quite hold the fairway. It's a well maintained muni course, and the staff has always been friendly to me. I prefer to walk courses instead of riding golf carts when I play, and I find this course to be very walkable. If you want a good little challenge that doesn't break the bank, I think it's worth a tee time to play Oak Knoll.

This place is pretty bad but I have some ideas that could make it better... Ashland is the…read morewealthiest place within 150 miles and we have one golf course that is owned by the city-Oak Knoll. The course is widely regarded to be unplayable by the people I have spoke to in Ashland. You can't even get a tee in the ground. The folks who live on the course think it's an eye sore. The gentleman at the front desk claims the course is in disrepair because they didn't have full water last year, yet the other golf courses in Medford are all in much better condition, other than maybe bear creek which is also city owned and is a par 3 that cost next to nothing to play so you can't expect much there. I think this place is just mismanaged to the extreme. The machine that dispenses practice balls for the range is probably 60 years old and coin operated and breaks every other time you use it and you have to walk up to the front to get someone to help you. And then the practice balls are all torn up, and the practice mats are worn out making hitting the balls feel like hitting rocks off cement. I think I may get the people of Ashland to come together to force a sale of this place so that it is in the hands of private owners who can put the proper amount of money into this place to make it a viable business and golf course the people who live in Ashland can be proud of. People who pay the extra bucks to live in Ashland shouldn't have to drive all the way to Medford to play a decent round of golf.

A peaceful, powerful museum with heart, history, and incredible care…read more The Favell Museum in Klamath Falls completely exceeded our expectations. It's a quiet, three-story space full of beautifully preserved Native American artifacts, Western art, and historic collections that feel both intimate and deeply respected. We came in just hoping to learn -- and left with a whole new appreciation for everything this place holds. Admission was $15 per adult, with a small senior discount for my mom. Tribal and Native members are welcomed in for free. The staff were incredibly kind, welcoming, and clearly proud of the space. They even allowed my sister to bring her leashed dog inside, as long as he stayed calm -- a thoughtful, trusting gesture we really appreciated. Each floor has its own character: * Top floor: An open gallery walk-through with art from the early to mid-1900s, where they also host art classes and community events. It felt calm, creative, and inspiring. * Middle floor: The main museum, with 5-6 rooms filled with Native artifacts, cultural pieces, and a separate vault room for antique weapons. Every display was arranged with care and depth. * Bottom floor: A rest area with beautiful leather chairs, a warm rug, Western art on the walls, and the most spacious, well-kept bathrooms we've seen in any museum. It felt like a lounge, not a lower level. The overall vibe was calm and deeply respectful. While it was a little tricky to photograph some of the exhibits due to lighting glare on the glass cases, that didn't take away from the beauty and storytelling in the collections. Other notes: * They accept Apple Pay * The gift shop is beautiful, with thoughtfully chosen, high-quality items * Everything is clearly maintained with care, from the exhibits to the restrooms Going to museums like this and supporting organizations that protect and share cultural history keeps authenticity alive. It's humbling, beautiful, and grounding in a way that's hard to put into words. We built real memories here and left feeling connected, inspired, and grateful. If you're anywhere near Klamath Falls, don't miss this place.

I'm a little uncomfortable with the Native clothing, tools, cultural and personal items. How did the Favell come into possession of these things? The arrowhead collection is enormous. There is a diverse rock collection as well. I'd say it's worth a visit.
