Overstock items come in here and are typically sold at a great and possibly reduced rate from where you can get it elsewhere. The store was nicely organized and there was quite a bit of selection. There are many areas: kids toys, outdoor items like pools, home décor, furniture, appliances, counter tops, building materials like windows and other various items. Multiple employees were available to assist customers throughout our visit and all were friendly and helpful. Yesterday was my first time coming to the thrift store. I previously went to the one in town (I'm…read morenew here in Quincy so just looking around). came in yesterday. Spent around $41. I got jackets, shirts, and movies. I got about 8 to 9 movies yesterday. By the time I got home and wanted to play one of the movies that I bought, I discovered that there was a wrong movie in the case. I got " easy A" but inside was " 16 candles". By the time I discovered it the store was already closed. I tried to call that day, but of course it was closed. So I called this morning. Spoke to somebody. They said they usually check the movies maybe this ones slip through and then I can either exchange or get a refund. I told them that I would be coming closer to the end of the day because I was busy. Came in around 3:30 today finally was help, the ladies seem to have an attitude as if I was lying to her about not getting the movie that I wanted. She began throwing the movie into the trash; after I said, I didn't want to pick another movie due to me getting all the movies that I wanted yesterday. She just pulled out $2.16, with no response and handed me the money to me as if I was trying to steal from their business. I don't think after this interaction, I will be coming back into this business due to the lack of professionalism and customer service that was given at this time in the establishment.

He indicated, however, that my work request is not a task that his staff normally completes which may have been part of the reason it was not completed. Regardless, I am deeply grateful to Boyer's for making the outreach and sincerity of all apologies offered in response to this situation. Given that I do not current have any boots in need of tapering, I do not know if I will make a second attempt to have them narrow any boots shafts in need of such in the future. I do recommend that a clarification to their website for this service be made if needed. ________________________________________________________________________ This is an update to my initial post. On 9/14, I sent a letter to Boyer's detailing my experience with the company but did not ask for any specific action to be taken as I do not know where responsibility falls. I received an email from "Z" on 9/18 apologizing for the situation and explaining why it occurred. "Z" did note that the situation is not one the business wants for any of their customers and asked, in so many words, if I would be willing to give them a second chance for my business. Unfortunately I have sent the boots elsewhere for alterations and I can not cancel the work order as I have already paid for such. At the moment, I do not have any items in need of work but that may change rather soon. I am, however, deeply appreciative of the response to my efforts to apprise Boyer's of the situation.

Do not use this service. There is no customer service. The staff is not trained to provide…read moreappropriate customer satisfaction nor inform or educate the customers on the telephone options or explain the differences in buying a telephone or contract payment telephone. The paperwork that is giving to you at the end of the sale does not include the Illinois signal policies. So how are you to know any information? We purchased a telephone and paid for it. The phone was activated and left store. That night the phone was fully charged but did not work it would light up for short periods of time and would turn off unable to be used in any way. The next day we returned to Illinois signal was told the phone is defective and will order a replacement. The folowoing we returned again to activate my old phone . On Friday I checked on the phone status was told its not in yet. Checked on Tues and wed. and was told the phone is not in yet we will call you when it comes in. On the following Tuesday today May 8. I again stop at Illinois Signal to check on the phone status. The person says its not in yet we have not received a shipment for 2 weeks. I said than I want my money back since you have no idea when I will receive the replacement phone for the new defective one we purchased. Than things got interesting the wonderful 15 year experienced manager says that once you buy and pay for a phone it is yours. I informed her of what her staff had informed us and as to who they were. She would talk to them. But no replacement phone was ordered and they were not and did not provide any assistance in trying to remedy the problem. I was given the number of the manufacturer to call and file a claim for a defective phone because it is under warranty. The bottom line is Illinois signal sold a phone, took my money benefitting them and the manufacturer. The customer has a paid defective phone that does nothing. Now have to continue to be without a new phone and deal with filing a claim and awaiting for repairs or new phone to be delivered. Someday I will have working new refurbished or remanufactured phone that is supposed to be a new phone but how long will the wait be as it has already been since April 25.

Fixed the prongs once. Not more than 6 months with my new ring and the diamond fell out. Luckily I found it and they fixed it for free. Just one month ago (July 20, 2024) the same diamond fell out again! This time I didn't find the diamond. $1650 to fix it. I am very disappointed in the quality of work!
