My wife and I accidentally found Run Your Pack through word of mouth (Thank you Kat!). We had a German Shepherd puppy that needed training and her two owners needed guidance...desperately! Thanks to Chris at Run Your Pack, he helped show, educate and explain the basics. (I cannot recommend his puppy imprinting program enough!) Thanks to Chris, he taught us how to track with our shepherd. Tracking man, it is the Rosetta stone of dog Zen. He showed us the art of tracking and the many benefits of having one's dog become confident with their nose. Now when I go hunting, I know that were I ever to get lost, my wife knows to harness up the man hunter, take her to my truck and let her "do her thing". You cannot put a price on that type of peace of mind! Thanks to Chris, he taught us how to show her scent work and scent detection. A person can literally have their dog "indicate" on anything after learning how to teach them this game. Now, instead of my wife and I suffering eye strain when we go morel mushroom hunting, we can take our dog for a walk in the woods, watch for her to lay down, and fill up our paper bags with delicious mushrooms! (seriously, if you've never had morels sautéed in garlic butter with grilled elk steak--you haven't lived!?) Need a dog who can protect your family while you're away? Chris's bite work program can get you there teaching you how to get your K9 to bark or bite on command. Seriously guys (and gals), I highly recommend putting on the bite suit and taking a land shark to the arm! It's a rush!?-lol
We are better dog owners having discovered Run Your Pack and our shepherd has never been happier and more satisfied than with the training and skills she's achieved all thanks to Chris Williams guidance and leadership. He's a patient, thoughtful, and very talented teacher. He is the Jedi master of dog training. Need proof? Check out RYP on Facebook. You could find less expensive options in the dog training world, but I cannot stress this enough: you CANNOT put a price on learning from the best. My wife and I have worked with four different dog trainers in the last twelve years from various backgrounds. I'm telling you--Williams is legit! He's the real deal ya'll. Results are all but guaranteed depending on your level of commitment. If the dog owners of Missoula knew of the world class training expertise available right in their back yard, Chris would have to clone himself five times over just to keep up with demand. God bless Chris Williams and what he does every day (and those like him) in saving, training, and educating our K9 family members and most importantly sharing his passion with their owners. That example; of his showing but a taste of the depth of possibility in the relationship between human and K9, is quite literally priceless to those who've come to see the lifechanging reality thanks to him and his gifts and his passion. One need only look at the loving fixated way his dogs insist on reciprocating his generous nature. Their excitement for life in his world is as intoxicating and infecting as his passion is for them.... read more
