Seems Placer County owns the printed words. Are you journalists or conformists? It's no wonder your circulation is down and no one buys your paper anymore. You need a "Creative Director" to breathe new life into this outdated format? It's the most boring "rag". If you subscribe, you're lucky if you get it mailed to you 3 weeks after publication- what???? How is that even classified as "news". Old news maybe! Averill offers me a special promotion for 6months but then let's my subscription expire before the promotion could take effect. I've tried to deal with it for over a month before finally speaking to someone who said my issue would be fixed over the weekend. Said issue was not fixed so I call in speak to Mark who is very rude, condescending, and a know it all. He doesn't want to hear my side of anything and repeatedly states the issue is entirely my fault. I repeatedly as for his manager to which he refuses to connect before I finally had to tell him "your not listening, so go fuck yourself" and disconnected the call. They had previously tried sending my parents to collections for not renewing an expired subscription. Never will do business with SacBee again, their own incompetence is what it killing their own business!

You talk to ppl that you cannot understand, who are paid pennies to pacify you & they do nothing! You cannot talk to anyone in Sac to get your paper. Several days pass, no paper. They don't care. They have set up a wall for no contact. You can only talk to the foreigners who do NOTHING.

I think it's a fun read, it's well executed for a small, local publication, and I can put a lot of their ideas into practice in my new home. In response to Ap R., Kidaround does interview "real working moms"; most of the women featured in Kidaround balance a job and family. And those stay-at-home moms are also working moms. Many stay-at have chosen to forgo climbing the corporate ladder to be there to raise their children, rather than dropping them off at daycare; I respect that. Overall, Kidaround is a lighthearted, free publication that I'll continue to enjoy.
