This is one of the top cafes in the area. Great coffee consistently served, healthy and very tasty food, with great staff.

**** Allergies**** Last night I attended my mother in laws…read morewedding at Wyreena. I am currently breastfeeding my 6 month old son, who has severe allergies to numerous different proteins in food. Especially Dairy and Soy. Over the past 6 months we have spent countless days at the Royal Children's Hospital. In and out of allergist appointments and Gastroenterologist appointments. As any exposure to allergens causes severe Bleeding from my sons colon. Allergic Colitis to be exact. My husband asked to speak with the owner Yasmin. Who was in the kitchen preparing cocktail style food. My husband explained the severity of the situation and asked if anything was safe for me to eat. Her response was bitter and lacked any kind of professionalism you would expect from the owner of a business. After bickering with my husband she assured us she had something safe for me to eat. I was served 3 cocktail style frittatas. Half way through the second one I started to taste cheese. I pulled it apart only to see melted cheese inside the frittata. Last time I checked Cheese is made from Milk.. which comes from a Cow.. which classifies it as a Dairy product. My husband asked to speak with the owner Yasmin again. Who was even ruder the second time around. He asked if they contained cheese and her response was "well he's not going kill him is it". No lady it won't kill him, but it will make him violently ill. She then proceeded to inform us she didn't know the contents of the food after all. My husband was told they were sending a txt message to the woman who had prepared them. Within half an hour the manager confirmed that cheese was an ingredient. I didn't catch the woman's name but she was very apologetic and understanding of the situation. Her professionalism was what you would expect from the owner of the business. My husband spoke again with Yasmin who wasn't so confrontational this time around, she had her tail between her legs so to speak. In turn I've been awake all night with a restless baby, who is extremely distressed and in great discomfort. I've now learnt my lesson, I won't be trusting anyone again. Thankfully my son doesn't require an EpiPen or the situation could've been much worse. Here's a link so you can educate yourselves on the severity of this situation.

Montano's Patisserie - The eggs were pretty small and overcooked. You can see that they lost a lot of the egg white.

Beautiful café, but the food was a let-down. Paid $40 for two poached eggs with bacon--eggs were…read moreovercooked, bacon tasted odd, and the bread was rock-hard and obviously frozen. Serving this in such a stylish place is pretty disappointing. No butter on the toast, either. Desserts were decent, but for the price and presentation, the basics should be much better. Wouldn't come back for breakfast.

First impression is the speakers mounted above the door to entertain those that sit at the tables…read moreout the front. A bit loud and not great sound quality so head inside, ah, that's better. TV on wall showing music videos but the customers don't seem interested in it. The place certainly looks clean and inviting in a slightly cramped clinical sort of way. The tables are small but should comfortably fit four adults but not much wiggle room around them would really limit you to three I think. The mug of Flat White is a good size and is nice and hot with a good flavour, the chai latte tastes nice but having never tried it before, I have no reference to compare it to. Certainly nice enough for me to try again. There are a plethora of items to choose from to eat. I had a delicious roast beef and salad with cheese and lovely mustard with my choice of roll, a great combination of flavours and textures. The tandoori wrap was a delight but bordered on the edge of being to hot. Then you cast your eye over a sheer symphony of delightful desserts, a masterpiece of items to get your taste buds jumping up and down with delicious anticipation. How do you decide from such a selection, can you stop at just one or do you flee to save that waist line you've sacrificed so much for. Of course you get a couple of things promising yourself to work that bit harder next time at the Gym. Enjoy, it's the little pleasures in life that add up you know. So, will I drag myself reluctantly back here. You better believe it, especially now I can afford it since cancelling that pesky gym membership. Oh oh, there goes that waist line Back to reality for a moment, there were two uninvited guests at my table today, a legacy of the open door policy, Mr Mozzy and Mrs Blowy. Other than that, a really nice little place with very friendly staff and reasonable prices. Enjoy.
