Taste of Christmas is a food festival celebrating the festive season for foodies. I love food. I…read morelove Christmas. This was always going to be a five star experience! This end of year festival has something to offer everyone. There is plenty of shopping to be done with a huge range of stalls showcasing artisan producers, boutique suppliers and high quality food and drink purveyors. Most of these stalls offer free samples of their wares, it's always great to try before you buy, and you could pretty much fill up in this way if you so choose. However, there are also a good selection of pop up restaurants selling a selection of tasting dishes. Buy your crowns and exchange for various plates of food. I normally manage to stuff myself with an amazing amount of food on these occasions as I just want to try everything. This time, I only managed four lunches (spread over a few hours), I obviously need more training! I did get to sample dishes from Asia de Cuba, The Cinnamon Club, Jamie Oliver and Benares. All delicious and a great way to try out what restaurants have to offer. On top of this, there are chef's theatres, book signings, Q&A, and free cooking lessons (impossible to get a space on these but some people were lucky). Although the main emphasis is on food, there are also a number of stalls selling Christmas gifts, crafts and decorations. The festival itself is well managed, this was demonstrated after a lost car key incident, all I can say is thank goodness for lost property! A fabulous day out, will definitely be back next year. Quick tip - look out for ticket offers, we got ours on a 241 deal meaning we got them for the bargain price of £11 each.

Every shiney vehicle on display comes with promotional tarts from all over Londons nether regions. Better quality wank-bank paraphanalia than any top shelf in this great country. Even the programmes are being sold by scantily clad ladies from essex who want to flirt outrageously with you. But only so you give them 3 quid. For this you get an official motor show programme full of A-grade masterwank shiny vehicle foreplay material, a free goody bag involving deoderant (essential for sweaty perverts), a hat so uncool you wouldnt even use it to cover up your poor ginger childs head, an energy drink claiming to be 'just for men' (Perhaps they should have also specified that this is a drink just for sad pathetic middle aged men with small penises and more money then sense. Amongst other things) Also included : crummy gift vouchers and a free novel. Yippee. There were many bins spewing this crap all over Canning town. Unfortunately I didn't go to the motor show out of choice and I have no interest in cars, or callous shows of extreme wealth and general slaggery happenings. There were some lovely looking motors there though. I smoked a spliff on the way in and even then it was quite dull here. Corporate bull cheese. Remember, two hands. Enjoy.

My work was inside the O2 arena which is inside this outlet too. I went to Nandos, Five Guys, Chiptole, German Kabob and a Thai restaurant. It was reminiscent of the Planet Hollywood Mall except it is [semi]circular. There is a Wetherspoons located on either end (yay!) as well restaurants that specialize in worldly cuisines. I went for the first time to see my favorite boy band, Five, on their reunion tour. A 20,000+ person capacity arena in the center of a "mall" is wild. The arena had great sound, and even though I was in the upper tier stage-left, I had a clear view of the stage. For a first time visitor, it is important to note that the upper tier is very steep. I was only in the 2nd row from the ledge, so I did not have any issues with vertigo/motion sickness. However, I would personally avoid seats near the top because I know I would have issues. There is a separate merch store outside the area to avoid crazy lines once you enter the arena. You can bring small packages and pursues inside but they made others rent a locker to place large packages and jackets. In addition to the arena, there is a smaller venue that was simultaneously hosting a K-Pop concert and the dinner venue for Mamma Mia! I wish I would have arrived when the shops first opened as I could have easily spent an entire day wandering around. If you are visiting London and have the opportunity to see a show at one of the venues, I highly recommend making a day of it!

I have bought my ticket through RA ( resident advisor) , which didn't care also , when i asked for a refund for my ticket , they have just forgot to come with a reply , until i told them we are going to see each other in court ! they have remembered to answer instantly!! I have finally received and email address where to contact the organiser (338) , i can't wait to see how that goes ! So by what i have seen , they sell a lot more tickets that their venue can handle , and who is not lucky enough to go in doesn't, that's pretty much a BIG SCAM !!! I would advise anyone to stay away from it !

Studio 338, I imagine, with the right event could be quite a nice venue. Unfortunately on this occasion it wasn't right. We got tickets on the second release having been told by the promoters that there would be the best burger and milkshake joints in London. We paid £13 each for this and thought that wasn't a bad deal. The closer we got to the date, the less confident we were that it was going to be good. The promoters kept promising to release vendor lists and didn't. Eventually they told us that there would be 5/6 burger vendors including a vendor selling vegan burgers plus milkshake vendors. However they only ever named 1 milkshake vendor. Apparently they'd sold 1500 tickets for the event plus door sales. How are you supposed to feed and water that many people with that small amount of vendors? We saw messages on the morning of the event saying that 1 of the burger vendors was not coming because of technical difficulties. Then later on in the morning opening time was pushed back by an hour as the ONLY milkshake vendor was running late. So we get there and try to get in around 1pm. Whilst in the queue we were handed a voucher each for "a free burger" and we're met by an excessive level of security for this type of event. They were doing full pat downs of those entering; the ladies in my group complained to me that they felt as if they had been groped during their searches. They were taking bottles of water, and even chewing gum of people on the way in. When we finally made it into the venue we were disappointed to see that the milkshake vendor still hadn't arrived. We queued up for our free burgers. I went to the Cheeky Burger counter and got a slider (tiny burger) with my voucher. It was tasty enough but not really what I was expecting as a freebie. A friend of mine decided to get a full size burger from one of the vendors. That was £10 including chips and after waiting 15 minutes to order had to wait a further 20 minutes for his order to be cooked!! We were keeping an eye on Facebook for updates from the event and found out that the milkshake provider would not be coming because of more technical difficulties! To make things worse, the bars had no price lists and were charging £5 for a 330ml bottle of beer! We were getting fed up of waiting around somewhere with no shade and loud, repetitive and not really appropriate for this sort of event music. As we were thinking of leaving we saw a post from the promoters saying that their "plan b" milkshake vendor was 10 minutes away. We waited long enough to see that "plan b" was actually 2 ice cream vans. At this point we left thoroughly dissatisfied with the whole experience. I have NEVER been to an event so poorly organised and I will NEVER go to an event organised by this company again. Not only were they not replying to their customers complaints but they were actively deleting negative comments from threads of the event page. Shocking behaviour.
