Anyway, I only go to her for my annual physical but she is so professional/patient focused that I referred my boyfriend as well. She is so caring and actually takes the time to ask questions and not only listen to but answer all of mine w/o making me feel like I am taking up her time. She has a bedside manner like no other and I'll miss her someday when I leave MA. I also love Amie- Dr. Mandel's administrative assistant- so sweet and if Amie says she'll find something out for you, she means it- always smiles and makes you feel like you made a great decision by going to their office. The waiting room is clean and there is a t.v to help pass the time if there is a wait. You won't mind if you do have to wait b/c you know that you'll get the same attention that Dr. Mandel is giving to whoever she has is the exam room.

I made an appointment and visited Dr. Mandel and was blown away at her professionalism, honesty and downright knowledge of anything I was either curious about or interested in. She is a hands-on doctor who not only shows you how you currently stand health wise but helps you maintain or get to where you feel you want to be or where she thinks you have the potential of going. I would go as far as saying that she could easily be a life coach as well - she is just that well rounded and genuine about what she does.

I wanted her to order some more thyroid lab work, since I have thyroid issues in my family history but she refused to do that. I cannot remember I was ever faced with a doctor that sides more with the insurance companies rather than the health of their patients. She basically said that the lab work is expensive and she will not order it, as if she was going to pay for it out of her own pocket. When I told her that I know of someone that had the exact same results as mine and then when he did more tests they realized that he has cancer, she said "you are not him"! And the labs just cannot do the test without a doctor order because it is illegal. So my hands are tied just because my primary care does not care about her patient but rather the insurance companies. I don't have to tell you that I am looking for a new primary care doctor.

My review is in 2 parts…read more First as a patient. I had a good experience with Dr. Miller. The staff was prompt and professional. Dr. Miller was nice and helped me with my pain. My second part of the review is for Dr. Brabec personally. My wife has seen him a few times and Dr. Brabec as a provider has been nothing but perfect, absolutely on the mark. Some doctors get into a specialty field for the money others get into the field never forgetting to help patients first. Dr. Brabec chose the ladder Dr. Brabec's approach is masterfully skillfully and his overall assessment is honestly above and beyond the typical scope of practice. A physician's exam on a patient is paramount!!! One missed question or one question not ask by a provider can and is off putting to patients. (Ever leave a doctors visit and thinking the doctor really wasn't listening or didn't really fully grasp your condition??? ) You won't get this feeling seeing Dr. Brabec I promise. He and my wife went over everything honestly the doctor answered all my wife's billion questions and did not get mad and move on to the procedure portion of the visit till my wife didn't have any more questions. He answered all the questions openly and not in a way to come off as off putting. He used appropriately the right amount of medical terms and non medical language. (I hate when Doctors dum down there medical knowledge I mean really patients have googled and webMD so much stuff before walking in to a specialist they know the language I think or maybe that's just me) As far as results/outcome my wife and I are both happy we put our health under Dr. Brabec's hands. She was dismissive and unprofessional. She has no business caring for patients with her hostile demeanor.
