There are two sides of UMass University Campus. The best part is the hospital itself, the worst by…read morefar is the ER and event that is divided. Here is what I mean. The doctors and especially the nurses I have dealt with through several surgeries and illnesses have been top notch and caring. No complaints and I have total trust in them especially in cardiology, neurology, vascular and diabetes care. They get five stars. The care in the ER, again especially from the nurses, is exceptional. Friendly and caring. They too get five stars. The problem is that when you need emergency care you first need to get triaged, this is what is so destructive to the UMass reputation. The people who staff the emergency check in are easily flustered and if you approach to ask why you have been sitting in the waiting room for 12 hours (my longest wait was 14 hours) they can be a bit cold, bordering on rude. You can get to triage without too much of a problem, just depends on how many people are in front of you. But the check in lacks a certain level of basic competence. I went to the ER with a stroke. The check in person had me sit with everyone else in the waiting room. After about 15-20 minutes a nurse came out to get me and realized I was having a stroke, from That point on they were awesome. Tonight I came here with a history of blood clots and apparently more were developing. I arrived here at 9pm. Quickly got into triage and again had two great nurses. I was told that because of my history of stroke and heart failure I would be put onto a priority list. It is now 5:00am and not a peep from anyone. The waiting room is almost empty. The person at check in was MIA. The security guards could not have been any more rude. In a nasty tone they told me to just wait for the nurse. They will not even look me in the eye, they look past you. This is the most unprofessional setting and 180 degrees from the rest of the facility. By the way, they came through to clean the waiting room once, they waited so long to clean that there was blood on the floor, bloody gauze, trash... it is just disgusting. Clearly the leadership team doesn't read any of the reviews here nor do they actually spend time in the ER, if they did they might just do something about it. No one is holding the leadership of the ER accountable, that is the problem. I have been a senior leader in HR for many years, I can fix this problem within weeks and start to change the culture and attitude of this ER operation. Follow up at 8:00am - I am finally in a room in the ER and it is 180 degrees from the experience of the check in and waiting area. Excellent doctors and nurses. Very caring and very nice to be around. So odd!

Put her through 4 rounds of chemo. She never needed it absolutely killed her. And a certain doctor who likes to play god, who Never did the biopsy did not even care and didn't even apologize at the least. But instead, he made her go through an absolute gauntlet and an horrible life in miserable agony of pain. She also had scar tissue wrapped around her brachial plexus and lost full control of her right arm. But he didn't care at all. He never even looked to her weight. She was skinning bones, literally not just that he never checked her blood pressure, which was always out the roof he made her wait for hours. And this is a cancer patient. You can't do that. She was in remission after 2 long. Cancer surgeries that were separate separate times and because of his negligence. And what he did to her, he took her off of the only medication that ever worked for her. And that actually helped her. And said, I'm gonna give you something better. He put her on suboxen, that's not for pain, that's for people to get off of bad things. And that's what I told her.And she tried taking it after him and his accomplice pushed it through over 40 times even though they never put through not one of her allergies, and she has all of them, just like me and her throat closed up. She stopped breathing, her face blew up. Her eyes were the size of actual basketballs. And yes, I have pictures and proof I documented everything in so did she, my mother passed away on October 5th 2025. She went into cardiac arrest. I woke up to her, kicking me in the head in her bed. I had a pick her up to CP. R on the floor for 20 minutes straight until the operators got there. They had a zapper over 4 times they never thought she was coming back. But of course, she did for me only the last six days in the miserable, horrible eye, see you there and end up getting pneumonia she always said to me, please don't let me die there. Don't ever let me die there. They're the ones who are gonna take my life. And they're already doing it, and it's exactly what happened. And also, thanks a lot to the doctor there, the one in the ICU because he's in a really bad person, he ripped me out of my mother's arms after she passed away after only 10 minutes, and I had a beg for those 10 minutes and not just that, but he didn't listen to anything. I said he would not give me even though I'm 30. He would not give me the legal right to have any of the decisions for my mother and I'm the only one that knows her. Instead, he gave it to the wrong person. They did not even do an autopsy which they needed to. Because of everything that I just written and he let some other family member that knows nothing about her make all the decisions which is not right. And he lied to me saying that there was a literal time limit on how long I could spend with my mother after she passed, which is a lie and I looked it up. You have four hours tops, and I only got ten minutes ohh, and not just but I have a cousin who is there and we don't know why she was there or why she's our cousin, but that's not the point, this is she called her daughter to come in from Florida. So she could get information, illegal information from the ICU doctors, and she did, she got all of it. And all because she's a nurse from where she's from, which doesn't matter. You're not allowed to give out that information only to me. I'm the only child only next of kin, but they got all information. They wanted and more. I couldn't get any. They wouldn't even call me. They'd never even called me to tell me when my mother was passing. Nobody did they called to say, oh, she's not awake anymore. So you need to come say you're goodbyes. Are you kidding me? Where was my phone call? I was waiting and i'm sorry.I just went back a few seconds and I'll let me go forward again so back to the cousin, the cousin's name is Shelly, and guess what? She was doing recording my mother dead and then taking pictures on her phone while her daughter is getting all that information. And then, when my mother's actually passing a few days later, 5 days later to be exact. She has the nerve to pull out her phone and record my mother dead and take pictures. And nobody did a damn thing about it, not one of them. They just stood by and watched and let it happen while I'm screaming and crying trying to be there for my mother and do you know what she did with that? I'll tell you. She showed my mechanic and went around and showed everybody, but never told me. Obviously I had a find out for my mechanic. And what was there above? My mother said, oh a sign that said do not ever record or take videos. It is illegal and we will take action. But nobody has taken any action for their responsibilities and what they did to my mother.

I must add that the coordination couldn't have gone better. They arranged a bed for her in the CCU and the Dr who would be doing her surgery spent time with me over the phone explaining what needed to be done & how it will work. From the time we boarded the ambulance to the recovery room I highly doubt it could have gone any smoother. She came out of the surgery, then recovery, and was immediately taken to the CCU. The poor sweetheart had lines upon lines, oxygen, etc. And when she woke, clearly upset. The nurse ( Karen) that is assigned to her has been so very kind, compassionate, and highly skilled. All the other caretakers have been wonderful. It's been 3 days and she's still in the CCU. But she's doing quite well, healing nicely with the excellent care she is getting. What started out as a frightening experience turned out to be a very positive one & I can't thank them enough.

Now it's noon time and the lobby is full. We are being told that the wait is still very long!! How???! There were two other people in the lobby when we arrived!!! My father is from CT every time he has gone to the hospital in New Britain there was not this kind of wait! UMASS you need to fix this, people that are ill should not have to wait this long for care!!

Her clinical knowledge is top notch. She is thorough in explaining exactly what she sees, what the treatment plan is, etc. She does a great job of explaining anatomy and treatment options. She is exceedingly patient with children. My kids LOVE her. Her clinic is warm and inviting. Everything is beautiful, clean, and thoughtful from the soft toilet paper in the bathroom to the plethora of wooden toys. Likewise the staff is kind and personable.

First off, let me preface with the fact that I never write reviews (mostly because I'm too lazy)…read morebut I felt compelled to write one for Dr. Brittany because she has been so amazing in not only her chiropractic care, but as a person in general. I originally went to see her after I found out at 32 weeks that my baby was breech and I had read that chiropractic care- specifically the Webster Technique has been shown to help babies turn naturally on their own by removing roadblocks in the mother's body and Dr. Brittany is the only chiropractor in the Worcester area that specializes in this specific technique. I had posted on a local mom's Facebook group and she was referred by many women so I knew that she had to be good. I decided to give it a shot and I'm so glad I did. I felt comfortable with Dr. Brittany from the moment I met her. I could tell that she was not only extremely knowledgeable but also passionate about the work that she does. She explained everything she did before she did it so that I felt as comfortable with the process as possible. She's also very philosophical about her treatment, which is something that I personally love. My treatment plan started with me getting adjusted twice per week since I had so much going on with my body and I would look forward to the adjustments because I felt so much better afterwards. My back didn't bother me at all this pregnancy, whereas my last, it was almost unbearable towards the end. I felt like I had more energy, my posture was better, and I just overall felt better. There was one week where I missed my adjustments because I was on vacation and I could feel it. I also want to add how great of a person Dr. Brittany is because I find that to be very important when choosing any type of provider. I had an extremely difficult time post partum due to a number of injuries to my body from giving birth. We're talking not being able to walk without a walker or move my legs without help and extreme pain. Turns out, I separated my pelvis, injured my tailbone and also had an issue with my SI joints causing sciatic nerve pain. To say that I was a mess would be an understatement. I reached out to Dr. Brittany to get her thoughts and without hesitation she offered, out of the kindness of her heart, to come to my house to work with me since getting in and out of the car was too much to handle. I'll be forever grateful to her for her care and compassion and couldn't speak any higher of her. I've already recommended many people to her so if you're looking for an outstanding chiropractor, look no further. I promise you won't regret it!
