Brenda is an abusive groomer who has killed many Yorkie's who were trusted in her care. One teacup…read moreyorkie PUPPY, Jax, died from repeated closed fist blows to his head. Then she lied about it saying he hit his head on the floor. No, she beat that 5lb dog to death. She has also fatally strangled and stabbed other tiny dogs with grooming shears. As a yorkie mom, I'll tell you their skulls are no bigger than a small closed fist. The torture these loving little dogs died from is horrendous. She was filmed beating one tied up yorkie in front of her students. A tiny, tennis ball sized skull receiving repeated blows. This school should never be allowed to touch another dog and should be shut down. Do not leave you defenseless dog in her care because she will beat them in the head. Who knows how many dogs came out of her business with concussions. Who knows how many of her students practice the same cruelty. Brenda should not be allowed to even own pets of her own. Do not give her your hard earned money. If you do, you're putting a chance on your dogs life especially if they are a smaller breed who cannot take the force of her fists to their small skulls.

He is actually a very laid back cat, but still, no one would agree to even try without sedation. The girl who runs this place is very sweet, I believe it is a mother-daughter operation and they are definitely in the business for the right reason--they love animals! I highly recommend this groomer, she is skilled in her craft.

I've spent the last few months letting my Pomeranian's coat grow in order to counter the butchering…read moreshe endured from another groomer. When I called to set up the appointment I recounted our experience with the other groomer, and the employee I was speaking with was appalled at my story. I asked if their groomers were skilled in scissor-cutting double-coated dogs. She asked me to hold while she consulted the groomer. As it turns out, the groomer who took care of my dog has owned Pomeranians in the past and is well-versed in how to groom them properly WITH scissors. So I made the appointment and was told that it would probably be only 60 to 90 minutes. That was surprising for a bath, haircut, and nail trim...or maybe I'm just used to the other groomer and their 3 hour grooming windows. Riley's even calls to give you a 15 minute heads up that the grooming is almost complete. My girl looked good when I went to pick her up. She had a bath (presumably with unscented doggy shampoo since she didn't smell like an exotic dancer.) She even had a little bow in her hair. That was a nice touch. Maybe next time I'll ask them to paint her toenails. The most important thing is that she made my baby look like a Pomeranian again. It's gong to take a while longer to get her coat fully restored, although it may never grow back properly 100%, but the groomer was able to even things out so it doesn't have that weird look that we'd had before. At any rate, I'm pleased with the job Ms. Jackie did, and we'll be back.

I would give this place zero stars if possible…read more I had a horrible experience with this groomer. My dog was scheduled for a grooming and it was confirmed. Then a day before the owner reached out to ask how does she get to my apartment complex downtown since she typically doesn't work downtown due to parking (which I get since it can get annoying) so I explained how I can pay for valet parking and meet her in the garage to help her- d and she said "ok that's perfect!" Then on the morning of the groom she never showed up, I sent her text after text and no response and called a bunch of times. And I never heard a word!! Which was pretty strange I truly thought something maybe happened to her and I would hear from her the next day she had some emergency. But nope nothing!!!! Fast forward to today, I get a confirm my next appt text from this company and I was SHOCKED! Like you didn't even have the decency to call me back when you stood me up! So I said that. And then this owner made up a whole lie how she texted me and I never got it (yeah right) and she didn't answer my calls that morning because "I'm not a client" which makes no sense since she was supposed to be at my home grooming my dog! I just couldn't believe it!!! So I just wanted to warn people that unfortunately the professionalism is just not there with this business.

Alyssa worked thru a plan and educated me on home care of his coat. I get HOURS OF MY LIFE BACK PER WEEK + my dog wants to come to me when called since I'm not tanking on his mats all the time. Hind site, standard poodles are a LOT of work - noted - but I went thru a 2 month solid period of bad advice, bad brushes, so much time wasted and the heartache of watching the mats grow and your dog uncomfortable- the all th YANKING on the mats that won't come all the way out. I don't know how, but Alyssa got all the mats out, my dog is super soft and now I only have to brush him 10 minutes a day. We did add $135 per month expense for having a groomer come to our home but the alternative is 16 hours per month of yanking on my dogs mats. It was actually damaging our relationship and now hes more than happy to come when called UPDATE: 2nd groom, Alyssa DIDNT DISAPPOINT! She was here a llllong time, did nails, checked glands, did inside ears, washed for like an hour almost, blow out - she's just a pro!! 4/4/2020 review - thank you Alyssa for handing our 50lb Standard poodle like a boss! We had Alyssa come out - I get it - even tho we're all quarantined but, she'd been in the house for a few weeks like us, only to the store for food and she just stayed in our bathroom - safe for everyone - So Tux my pup KEEPS GETTING MORE AND MORE ADORABLE - She gave him the Asian Fusion poodle cut - each time Alyssa comes, Tux's cut brings us so much joy, he's so cute and soft after she leaves it's like laughter and smile therapy and so since we felt like she was taking the same precautions we are we had her come on our monthly schedule - just use wisdom and prudence to decide it was safe for all concerned. Thank you Alyssa, I hope this review does bring you business during these uncertain times!!

I bought a personal training package from Instinct and the trainer came to my home to train my dog and me. It was such a good decision. Both May and I really liked working with the trainer Lauren S. Her approach and tone were awesome. I knew from the first appointment with her that it was going to be great. I'd been trying to figure out how to get May to sit for weeks. Lauren got her sitting in a session. All in all I think we had 9 sessions with Lauren. In that time we learned a lot and have been applying it. My relationship with my dog is so much better because of Instinct. The thing I will caution people against is having unrealistic expectations of your dog and the trainer. If you go in with the desire to make your dog a unquestioningly obedient robot then you will be disappointed. Just focus on the over all quality and happiness of your dog's life

We were even sent an hour long questionnaire about our dog's history/health/behavior/etc. prior to training. Y'all...they care so much! We have a 1 year old rescue pup who's dog reactive, and we've been pretty much unable to take him on walks or near other dogs at all. Jenna helped us overcome all of this and we could not be more grateful. She coached us on how to slowly warm him up to lots of different scenarios- we even had a playdate with another dog today with no issues! His reactivity will be something we'll continue to work on for months, but I can't tell you how relieved we are to have gained some confidence with it. Jenna really helped put things into perspective and helped us understand how to read our dog and take things at his pace. You really can't rush progress like this, and I love that Instinct doesn't promise "quick, fast, easy results" because those are not effective or even possible. We would absolutely do this again if given the chance, booking with Instinct was a game changer.
