Too expensive. They charge 2£ for card transactions and the lady burnt me when I had a waxing.

So allowing a person, voluntarily, you haven't met before to pour hot wax over certain parts of…read moreyour body, then rip it off and then actually pay them for that experience isn't exactly my idea of fun for a Saturday morning (or any other day for that matter). But sometimes a girl's got to do what a girl's got to do. Now I have tattoos and piercing and I have attended, not one but two, test cricket matches, so I consider myself as someone with a rather high pain threshold. Except for when it comes to hair removal. I have never given birth but am fairly sure that is far less painful. It must be! As the clock reached 11am I started heading to Phoenix Beauty Point for my appointment. I was seriously considering downing a double whiskey but: A: apparently it is frowned upon to drink alcohol before you have had breakfast B: I really don't like whiskey I entered the salon and was greeted by Balo, this beautiful woman with a warm smile. She showed me to the room and asked me to get ready. As I took my clothes off I thought to myself: don't let her kind smile deceive you Alex, she is about to cause you some serious pain. She entered and soon after Operation Hair Elimination started. Now I'm not saying I didn't feel anything; I was stone cold sober remember. But Balo had this incredible way of making me think about everything else but that hot way on my skin. During the session we talked about Camden Market, the history of Afghanistan and the different dialect of Nigeria (thank you Wikipedia for making me sound like an intellectual!) and before I knew it, it was over! Balo was so thorough; not a single hair to be found. I would be lying if I said that my dislike for waxing is now gone; but at Phoenix Beauty Point it feels like a beauty treatment and not torture. I highly recommend anyone who wants a five star treatment to go there!

I had a dermologica facial here 2 days before my wedding! She did a wonderful job and my skin was…read moreso much better for it. I was very pleased. The place does need a bit of TLC, though! I would definitely go again and I would recommend it to a friend. I also had my nails done with them the following day and she did a great job. It's not in the same place as the beauty parlour, it's about 50yds down the road in a salon. My nails (false ones, french tipped) are amazing. They have survived my big day and don't feel like they're going anywhere soon! Thank you ladies!!

I've never written a review before in yelp, but felt this team deserved a mention for making our…read moreweekend in London so lovely! I booked in here with my daughter last Friday and had such a fantastic day! It was a treat before her graduation this weekend....We had our manicure & pedicure booked in together- we tried the 'lust' with the extended massage and scrub and it was amazing! The girls looking after us were so lovely- they took really special care to match my daughters dress colour to the nail polish- and never seemed to rush us at all. They even popped out and got me a soy latte as a special request! :) We then wondered if the adjoining hairdressers could fit us in for blowdry the next morning- and they sorted out all the appointments for us while we were having our treatments! We felt refreshed and pampered and ready for her special day yesterday - so thank you so much to the girls - I've booked Amy back in, in a few weeks as a special treat from me! Brilliant customer service- really loved this salon & the team! Thank you, we'll be back xx

Ok so i am a full time mum to a 16 months old and my lovely mother decided to come visit a few…read moredays, yay!! There i was thinking, hallelujah I can finally do my nails and hair and go see my dentist and my gynae (ok too much info). Anyways ... i digress... I live 2 minutes away so peint seemed like the obvious choice. I booked myself in for a gluttony mani and pedi combo and i was prepared to pay 99£. The lady who was doing my mani absolutely destroyed my day, actually 3 days! She started on my right hand and pushed the cuticle back like her life depended on it. Being me, i didnt say anything. Then she started cutting the cuticle on my thumb, ouch ouch ouch it bled like crazy. I made a gentle comment "is it bleeding? Could you be more careful". She IGNORED me. Put some blue green solution on my nail (hopefully something antiseptic!!???) and carried on, i was shocked. Then she carried on and out of 5 fingers, THREE were bleeding!!! I am not talking about a tiny cut, im talking about the entire length of the cuticle on all three fingers. They were inflamed and started swelling up. Shock horror the woman just carried on!!!!! Ignoring whatever i said and just carried on like she was in some parallel universe. The girl who was doing my pedicure finally got up and spoke to the manager, the manager came and had a look then apologised. She asked the manicurist to carry on finishing the job. Surprise surprise the rest of the manicure was HORRIBLE. Only 1/3 of my hands were covered in mask, she didnt wipe the mask off properly, no massage. When it came to the paint job no basecoat no topcoat just barely 2 layers of the vanish. Surprise surprise it lasted 2 days. I gave it one star because the manager didn't charge me (although i left a 20£ tip for the girl who did my pedi because she actively went to the manager and basically saved my left hand). The salon looks nice. And i do think some technicians are decent. I personally will never ever go there again, i mean, mums will understand, my hands are constantly in the water and im constantly doing EVERYTHING and it has been just so painful.
