They quoted me $250 for a valve replacement (standard price I got from all the places I contacted) plus they offered a 3-year warranty on their work. I went with them because they said they could come that night, and I had already had my water shut off for a couple of days by then (like my pool water was already getting cloudy, eek!). There was an issue with scheduling, and they said they ended up saying they would come the following afternoon between 3 and 5. They actually showed up closer to 5:30 or 6. So, I think the communication could have been better. But, they came and completed the repair (replaced the valve) in 2 shakes of a lamb's tail (about 30 minutes).

The first contractor strung me along for a week, just to get a simple quote -- what a waste of time. I won't name them here, but they know who they are. The second contractor had some good ideas but never followed through with a quote.   Then I reached out to QD Landscaping and spoke with Tony, the owner. He was professional, friendly, and easy to work with. We set up an appointment for the next day, and Tony arrived right on time. We walked through the property together and made a list of projects to complete. He also offered several helpful suggestions I hadn't considered, which I gladly added to the list. The main project involved landscaping and irrigation repair, along with several other upgrades. The best part? Tony provided a ballpark estimate that was well within my budget, which we later formalized.   Due to weather delays, the work started about a week later. Tony and his two-man team moved and spread 15 yards of river rock, upgraded and repaired the irrigation system, installed new lighting, and planted flowers and shrubs. They completed everything in just two and a half days, keeping the area clean and tidy after each workday.   The transformation was incredible! We followed up the project with some exterior painting (see my Straight Edge Painting review), and we couldn't be happier with the results.   Thank you, Tony -- to you and your team -- for your excellent work! I called and spoke with Randeep, who scheduled me within 2 days with an irrigation specialist. I had an appointment this past Wednesday for Danny to come by and take a look at the leak. Not only did Danny fix the leak, he replaced the valve completely with newer, more up to date parts as my home is 20+ years old. After addressing the original issue, he noticed that two of my sprinklers were not functioning and replaced them, even without me asking! Wow! He then recommended that I replace my sprinkler timer as well, since it was also an older/outdated model. I purchased a new timer, in which he took the time to walk me through step by step to make sure I understood how to use the timer and make necessary adjustments and also made sure to go through the schedule not once, but twice to ensure I was satisfied with the watering schedule and overall water flow. During the walkthrough, I noticed there was a huge leak coming from a drip line in my backyard that caused a puddle in my lawn. He explained that the leak in the drip line may have been caused my running it over with a lawnmower or by me accidentally hitting the line with a weed wacker. I asked Danny how much it would cost for him to fix the leak, and he said, "This is such an easy fix, I'm almost positive you can fix it on your own." He then recommended the parts I needed to fix the leak, and sure enough, I was able to fix it on my own! He made sure to keep in contact with me while I went to Home Depot to make sure I bought the right parts. Danny went above and beyond and provided exceptional service! He was patient, honest, kind, and very knowledgeable, which is a true reflection of the company. Nowadays, it's hard to find a trustworthy company that won't take advantage of you! Less than 1 hour from kick-off to arrival is amazing. I bid this job to several others, but upon arrival I had a good gut feeling that HydroPoint was the way to go. We discussed my overall plan and we walked the backyard area for a quick synopsis of work needed. After some trial and error with my sprinkler valves, some digging to trace where pipes were hidden below, we were off to a good start. We worked out some quick math for valve replacement, sprinklers and even adding 2 different drip lines for plants/shrubs to be planted in the future. Keeping my project within budget and thinking about future improvements & plans is what mattered to me. The professionalism, prompt response, fair price and honest expectations is what I value.
