Just a quick shout out to Rudy's Audio Sound in Kalispell, MT. Mike did the cleanest install I have ever seen. Helix amp and subs with Blam speakers. At first the cost seemed excessive if not on the extreme side of the spectrum. Sometimes you got to say what the f*** and go with it. I am glad I did. The setup was perfect and well with the $$$$"s it cost. Our camper van's alarm system went crazy and we couldn't disarm it, even while driving. We are traveling and don't live in Montana so we just looked up the closest Auto Sound place. They didn't have any reviews but we thought we'd try it out regardless since we were desperate. They we SO great! Really helpful, great customer service, and the shop was really clean. It had a really cool atmosphere. They took one look, new exactly what was wrong, and fixed our system! It was exactly what we needed to get rolling again. Rudy's AutoSound provides great service. They are pricier because of it, so they aren't the cheapest around. They have a comfortable and entertaining waiting room which I'm sure you are paying for. I mean seriously, bring some popcorn and candy and watch a movie while your car is getting done. You won't want to just drop off the car here. When we were here last getting a car starter installed in our Jetta, the tech was helpful in pointing out that our lights had not been wired correctly. Thank you! Because that helped us go back to our mechanic to get it done right. The car starter installation was perfectly done. We had had a previous system installed-a Viper-which the Jetta did not take a liking to even though those are considered top-of-the-line. Instead we had an Astro installed and our Jetta seems to like that one much better. So our Jetta is happy and so are we! Rudy's also installed an Astro in our Subi a couple of years ago and it's still working just as good. If you want a cheaper install, try Marty's. They also offer fabulous customer service! read more

Excellent customer service. Good quality work on install. Happy so far with components. But, seems like the install cost per component added up pretty darn quick. Seems like there should have been a bit of a price break for install of multiple componets. Just make sure you get figure for labor up front. Still, very happy with service and quality. read more

Been doing business with Rudy's for 25+ years. Now that I want to do 2 upgrades they made me feel like an idiot.....Keep in mind the 2 upgrades would run over $4000! Wanted a double DIN head unit in my 300zx, said it wasn't possible, then why do they make a Double DIN bezel with hardware? Wanted 6.5" mids to replace the BOSE system. Nope not possible. Hmm, funny I was able to find an adapter plate to replace the "stock" 4" bose speakers with a 6.5". Wanted Punch Dual P3 12" Loaded Enclosure, Oh they don't stock that, I would have to buy the subs and one of their enclosures for $638.98...when I could get the Punch Dual P3 12" Loaded Enclosure for $529.99? Why am I paying $108.99 more for the in house "discount brand"!? Not to mention they stock Rockford subs, but not the mids. Not to mention they don't stock the Punch series amps only the Power Series. When you have a vehicle that breaks necks, the Power series looks like shit! If you are looking for Rockford mids, buy online! They don't stock them either. I also wanted the PLC2 "Remote Punch Level Control" addon, and they said it wasn't needed since I have an aftermarket head unit that can control the sub......Have you ever tried to control the sub levels from the head unit!? I want that surprise bass experience with a turn of a knob! The guys at Rudy's are fantastic. I first went to them after a terrible experience with another shop in the valley who damaged by car's electrical system. Mike and the guys at Rudy's replaced the system with a much better solution, fixed the electrical issues, and cleaned up the entire install - even came to my home on a couple of occasions. Rudy's has always completed my expectations and then some. I got a remote start put in my truck and anytime there has been any issues, they take care of it no problem. Their staff is extremely friendly let alone knowledgeable on any type of vehicle electronics.
