Great vegan and gluten-free pizza! Friendly staff as well. Unfortunately not many options, but it tastes very good.

After being told several times that someone would tell their colleague to come serve us. We can see the staff from here ignoring us, laissez-faire. And we saw the main host walk out. Update: Order finally taken after a good 30-40 minutes. We chose to order dessert with savory due to the slow service. And the dessert crepe showed up right away on the dirty table with no utensils. And then they walked off. The kid's crepe shows up without salad. We say something. They take it away and bring it back with salad. Then she finds a MAGGOT on it and can't eat anymore. I am so grossed out.

If you are lucky to be in Hamburg during nice weather, request outdoor seating. The ambiance is excellent. I enjoyed the crepe nordic. Fresh salmon with a lovely touch of lemon and creme fresh. The servers were very friendly and made the experience enjoyable. The prices were reasonable and the crepe selection was ample. I'll look forward to returning when I am back in Hamburg

A little old school but I can respect it. We came in and filled the last table-the place was already so lively at 6:30 on a Sunday (Mother's Day). They have English menus and were (of course) offering an asparagus specialty menu. We went with a couple beers, a shandy, a Schnitzel, mixed fish plate and the whole fish. Everything was so delicious and we could see the singular chef working and the singular woman wait all the tables. The only thing was that the shandy was actually made on site, with sprite and beer from tap. It was an interesting flavor. Would recommend this to anyone to get Hamburg classics!

I found this place not by accident or word of mouth but through a Daily Deals website. I went with…read moresome co-workers and I had the best experience in any restaurant I have ever been to in Hamburg, period. To start the service was outstanding! The owner was actually out there helping seat, serve, and take orders. He also recommended and described dishes in great detail. The atmosphere is also nice, its modern decor and prefect size made everything even better. The food was absolutely delicious. The steak literally melted in your mouth. You could cut the steak with your fork it was that tender! I had a 300g Rib Eye, Green Beans, and a Baked Potato. The green beans looked like they had been cooked on a grill and bathed in herb butter. The wine that was recommended was just the cherry on top. Prices are reasonable for a steakhouse and you could get a good steak for under 20€. I would defiantly recommend this place and will also be returning several times! It's a hidden gem in Hamburg since it's not on any main walkway or near any train stops but still very easy to find. Everyone should check it out.

A final course of chunks of Parmesan. Good wine too but most of all was great service and attention from our waiter. I believe it was…read morethis one, which is a medium-sized corner market- like a big market for NYC, but small-ish for any other city stateside. I believe there might be a much larger Edeka (not Edeka Kraus) just up the street (5-10 minute walk) in a shopping center. However, Edeka Kraus was closest to my hotel and had everything I needed: a gluten free section, fresh fruit, water, and dairy products. The gluten free section is, like most markets and DMs I went to in Hamburg and Berlin, primarily Schar products. However, Schar has a much bigger range here than in the US. There were also products by Bahlsen not available in the US and a few other things. Just like at every other market in Italy/Germany/Switzerand, be sure you take your own bags. Particular to Germany: not all markets have credit card machines. I paid cash here, as did everyone else I saw, but it appeared they had a credit card machine, too. Not sure if they charge extra for using it.

Selection is perhaps a tad better than at the others in the area, but it's still not the spot to find that obscure pack of American brown sugar or a halfway decent selection of cheeses (my bar there is admittedly really high). Prices are on par with other Edeka's in the area: high enough to let you know you're paying too much but not so Whole Foods-absurd to convince you to walk 10 more blocks to a cheaper place. Pfand machine is rarely in use and works really well, which doesn't appear to be the norm around here. There is a parking deck in the back (entrance is on Hahnemannstraße), and I *think* they validate for an hour or so. I live just above this store, so I've never had to actually use that. There is also a bakery and DM upstairs, so you could kill 3 birds with one stone. The bread at the bakery and Edeka is definitely a rip off, but it's good and convenient if you're short on time.
