Tried to upcharge for cleaning that my insurance usually covers. Dentist commented on my wife's physical appearance which I don't really appreciate and also quite unprofessional. We will not be back, even if they had appointments for basic services before 3 months. Again, front office staff very friendly and attentive (5 stars), I do appreciate the accommodation and patience, back office (1 star) could use some training on professionalism and office management.

Much more than other…read moredental work I have had done, and I have had substantial amount of dental work Besides the pain, Dr. Scheuffler decided to do ( at the last minute) a 3rd prepartion for a dental implant , which my own dentist was going to complete. My dentist, who also does total implants , felt only 2 were necessary. This decision was made at last minute. He called my dentist and he went along with this decision. Obviously I was charged additonal monies for this work . But what was really upsetting was that Dr. Scheuffler did not feel it was necessary to tell me that my other dentist would also be charging me an additonal substantial amount of money. If I had known that his decision would end up costing me over $ 3000.00, I would have just gone with the two and had a larger bridge put in( as I had an even larger bridger previously that lasted 20 years!). Also, one of his women staffer was definitely not someone I would let deal with me again. Horrible person. Make sure that the entire cost of any procedure is written up , not only for his work, but they also need to advise you of possible other expenses. Well, they got their money and I ended up being stuck with a lot of (which I felt was not 100% necessary for the money involved). To say i was upset over this experience is putting it mildly. When we went in for our consultation one week before the scheduled procedure the price was over $6000 for the same procedure. It was explained to me that, even though insurance was not paying any of it, they would charge me the lower price, but since I had let the insurance lapse, because it was useless, they were not required to give me a discount and the price inflated to $6000. What is clear is the procedure can be done for $2500 and they were clearly just gouging me for the $3500. I have been a long time patient of this clinic but it's clear they have no ethics, no respect for patient loyalty and use a business model that gouges clients when they can. I would not recommend them to anyone. They should have honored the price they previously quoted and not tried to gouge an additional $3500 at the last minute. Very disappointed in this business. Look elsewhere.

Scheduled for a teeth cleaning for March. 4 MONTHS in advance for a cleaning. I get a text 3 days before my appointment to say my appointment has been canceled because their hygienist left. I asked if no one else could do a simple cleaning and was told maybe someone else could. I didn't even want to hear about scheduling another appointment, to wait for god knows how long and probably be canceled on AGAIN.

Those practices come with a continuous effort to stay current and proficient in the latest procedures and techniques, hence why their career is called a practice. Dr. Chase is an amazing artist in the field of dentistry. Couple that, with her cordial and pleasant office staff and dental techs...my visits have been nothing short of enjoyable and not the usual dreaded Marquis de Sade-esque visit one normally endures... In October of 2019, I took my 5 year old to Dr.Chase for a small cavity in her back molar. They…read moretold me that the best solution is to fill it with silver diamine fluoride and that it would stop the decay and is a no pain solution for kids. I wish I would have researched this better but I went along and trusted that they knew best. Now, mid March of 2020, my child has pain in that same molar. I take her to an emergency dentist (on COVID-19 isolation and went to the closest and best rated dentist that was avail). The cavity WAS NOT stopped and in fact became so bad that it decayed her entire tooth to the point that it might have to be pulled out! $500 later and a TON of pain- her tooth nerve was removed. A crown was put in place but there is only a 50% chance the nerve will heal. If it doesn't heal, it will have to be pulled. This tooth will not grow back in until she is 12 years old. Not only has my sweet girl had to go through all this unnecessary tooth pain but it was something that could have been taken care of from the beginning with a simple filling! This makes me furious, why wouldn't a dentist properly explain the consequences and long term?! I am not a dentist and one should be able to trust that their health care provider is doing the right thing! I will NEVER go here again, I would not advise trusting this practice with your kids teeth. They obviously cut corners!
