She helped ease any fears/anxiety & she took care making sure I wasn't in pain during my dental procedures. The dental assistants were on point as well. I never felt like I was drowning when the dentist was working on my teeth. (As someone who had braces/regular dental work... it's definitely a thing) All in all this place is was really cool. We get there and waited for a long time to get to the back; once we got to the back they informed me that it would just be an examination for my daughter and no work would be done. We had explained on the phone how our normal family dentist had referred her to a pediatric dentist and they said no problem; they would do the pediatric dental work. However instead of any work they performed an exam and took more expensive xrays then had the nerve to refer my daughter down the road to an dentist that does pediatric dentist. I didn't bring her here to just get another referral and pay them good money for a wasted trip.

I had a great time talking with the finance specialist and we shared medical experience stories. Dr. Barrett was very professional and thorough. They used a new treatment on 5 of my teeth where it was needed to prevent and reverse cavities that were forming. That treatment isn't covered by my insurance yet, (FedBCBS) but it might be in the next year. My husband's appointment is next so I am hoping his experience goes well also.

They left my broken tooth hanging without even explaining they could have bonded the tooth to the other teeth so it wouldn't detach before some sort of dental work could be done to fix the problem.I went to another dentist the same day not only did he bond the tooth to the others, the treatment plan was less than half what Patel quoted me. Do not go here. They could care less and are only in It for the $$$$$$. Oh and by the way when I asked Dr Patel about my hanging tooth and what I should do I the meantime, he was like "oh well".

To be honest, at this point I will find another Dentist, put a few reviews on YELP, GOOGLE, ETC and complain to the VA Whitehouse Hotline about the care I received. But... why would they bill insurance when the insurance rate is less money than they scammed out of me? Right. When we went in for our consultation one week before the scheduled procedure the price was over $6000 for the same procedure. It was explained to me that, even though insurance was not paying any of it, they would charge me the lower price, but since I had let the insurance lapse, because it was useless, they were not required to give me a discount and the price inflated to $6000. What is clear is the procedure can be done for $2500 and they were clearly just gouging me for the $3500. I have been a long time patient of this clinic but it's clear they have no ethics, no respect for patient loyalty and use a business model that gouges clients when they can. I would not recommend them to anyone. They should have honored the price they previously quoted and not tried to gouge an additional $3500 at the last minute. Very disappointed in this business.
