He was delivering shrubs to my neighbor and I asked if they ever haul away branches for a fee. He agreed to help me out and was so positive to deal with even though it was a large amount of stuff for him to haul. I asked about the business and he said he and his brother are excited to continue the business with their dad who has been around for 32 years. I couldn't believe how nice and willing he was to help me! I'm looking forward to visiting their nursery to get plants for my new yard. If this is the level of customer care to be expected, this business has a bright future!

Revised test arrangements were perfect. Prices are absolutely unbeatable... Her flowers are gorgeous, huge, fresh and last SO long. I seriously don't know how she defies the laws of biology... The flowers are already mostly open for the event, but they open even more in the days afterward and they LAST and LAST. I could go on and on about how beautiful these flowers are... and I am PICKY. I love a locally owned lawn and garden center so after driving past Jim Jenkins several times, I figured it was time to stop in. The location/parking lot can be tricky to get into and out of because Painters Run is a busy road, but there was a police officer there stopping traffic so that customers could get in or out. This place is slightly deceiving from the road. I thought it was just a small little garden shop and wasn't sure if I'd find the clay pots I was looking for. Holy cannoli was I wrong. This is the Energizer Bunny of lawn and garden stores. It just kept going and going and going and going. I found the clay pots and a whole lot more that I didn't have space (or budget) for. The prices are fairly reasonable, the pots I was looking for were $2.99 and the saucer was $1.99. I also found a decorative one that's rather unique compared to what you'd find at one of those "big box" stores for a mere $6.99. I thought I was done shopping until I saw the huge selection of pre-sprouted veggies and herbs. I poked around there for a good bit before reminding myself that I'd just be feeding the infamous deer of Mt. Lebanon and not myself if I purchased any. On my way to the cashier, I stopped to check out their variety of succulents that were potted in adorable little planters... realizing that the aforementioned deer would not eat these, I grabbed one for my patio and silently told myself that my work here was done. We buy our plants, soil, hummus additive and mulch there. I also got peony rings for $6, which made all the difference. My peonies are very high and look great this year. In the fall, we buy our daffodil and tulip bulbs there. They line the path at my house and look great. We also bought some established plants as well. You know if you have any questions, you're in the right hands. Their experts are far superior to anyone you'd find at Lowe's, Home Depot and other garden centers. They take their time with you and take you around to show you what's needed. I love that personal attention. We also get our bird seed there. It's a great deal and the birds and deer love it.

My daughter's wedding was on October 28th. We were hunting live mums for decorating. We called MULTIPLE local nurseries. No one was willing to help, commenting that we could purchase what was left at the end of the season. As I continued down my list, I called best feeds on Wildwood. I had great experiences there before. I was shocked when the gentleman that answered the phone said to stop in and that they could certainly do something for me!!! He introduced me to two female staff members who were experts in matching colors, mums that bloomed later in the season, and sizes that I would need for each space. They also taught us how to make the blooms open at just the right time. The day of pick up they were all organized on a rack and ready to go. Can't say enough about the plant knowledge that the staff possesses. I really won't shop anywhere else for my plant needs moving forward.
