This place was horrible! Today I took my 9yr old son there for a haircut and asked the "barber" (long haired guy in first chair) for a traditional men's cut and while explaining and showing exactly what I wanted I could almost see my words going through one ear and right out the other. Instead of getting a low bald fade my son ended up with unblended sides, uneven hair on the top and patches of hair around his ears and neck. When I highlighted these obvious mistakes the "barber" didn't put the drape or paper back on my son and then proceeded to fiddle around a bit with my sons hair and then after not correcting the errors I pointed out earlier simply said "sorry I couldn't satisfy you" as if asking for a proper haircut was a such lofty request and he sent my son out of his chair covered in hair. In all sincerity Stevie Wonder or Helen Keller could cut hair better then this guy heck, I wouldn't allow this shop to cut my dogs hair after today. Currently we are at another shop getting his hair fixed which is more time wasted. Absolutely worst barbering experience of my lifetime! Stay far away if you value your hair. read more

This was a friggin NIGHTMARE. 2 hours waiting with just 2 simple cuts ahead of me. I told him BUZZ CUT INCH & HALF. He worked on my head for 30 minutes which should be a 5-8 minute buzz job. My God this poor bastard should be in a nursing home. He even used shaving cream for my neck and sideburns and when I got home I see that the razor did not cut anything. I tried to fix it at home with my wife helping but I have to wear a hat until I find another barber. BELIEVE ME IT WAS THIS HORRIBLE, AND YES VERY UNCLEAN AND HAIR WITH COBWEBS ON THE FLOOR. THIS MAN SHOULD BE REPORTED TO DHEC FOR HEALTH VIOLATIONS. read more

Absolutely love these guys. Great cut and shave! Highly recommend for those who like a traditional barber shop.

I feel generous in giving this place a star. The only reason Is I did get a pretty darn good haircut. Having said that the shop is just plain nasty. Tools are not cleaned in any way, hair is everywhere. Hair in clumps was in the tool clipper drawer, on the counter, and the floor around the chairs had not been swept in hours and many haircuts. Tools like combs and clippers were not cleaned. I immediately left for home and a hot shower, felt like I needed to be disinfected! Ugh! read more

I travel back and forth from maryland and struggled to find as good of a Barber here as I have there, until I stumbled on Rubio's. Now, I save my haircuts for my trips to MB and a trip to Rubio's. I have never had a bad cut there, no matter who is available. But it is not an average cut either. The barbers take the time to understand what you want and work with the customers to make sure they are happy. And the best part, I look good when I leave there, and that is no easy task. The atmosphere is comfortable, welcoming to locals and vacationers. I felt like a regular after my first cut. With some smooth deep track rock and roll playing on the phonograph (look it up, youngsters), friendly conversations starting, and a great cut, who could ask for more. Just all-around great service. My previous barber just wasn't working out. So I stopped by here to check it out and I haven't stopped coming back. They have multiple T.Vs for your entertainment while sitting in the waiting area. But, you wont be there long their operation is very smooth. read more

I visit Myrtle for at least two weeks every year and always get my haircut while here. I am a former Marine and like it short so I get it cut every two weeks. Great place for a solid cut. They have a live in cat, golf driving net, tv and a few other things but I never wait and just pet the cat and get a cut. read more
