She created this market to help artists and artisans, and to collect toy donations (as well as household goods and non-perishable food items for humans and pets) for STEP (the St. Louis Park Emergency Program). It's the annual event's first year in this space, and according to the website, the Market will be going on AT LEAST through December 27, 2023, Tuesday-Sunday from 11:00am-5pm. We parked in the ramp across the street and had no trouble finding this space. It was well lit and clearly identified. The space inside is also well lit, and there's plenty of room to move around in. There's a central counter where you bring the items you wish to purchase to pay for them. For the event that day, a donation to STEP earned you a ticket for a free slice of Muddy Paws Cheesecake. They had on offer about a dozen different flavors that evening, "New York" being one, and it's my absolute favorite, both in texture and flavor. My companion chose a slice of the Salted Caramel, which is equally delicious, but in a different way. For environmental reasons, I was so pleased to see the slices being served in paper board boxes, instead of the previous clear hard-plastic clam shells. There's a large section displaying the clothing pieces designed by St. Paulite, Laura Hlavac. Also available are jewelry made by various artisans, artisan pieces made from things such as snow skis, hockey sticks, hockey pucks, metal piping, golf balls, leather scraps and antique flour sacks, quirky greeting cards, handmade holiday ornaments, soaps, candles, lotions & potions, unique clothing pieces, and hats. In addition, you'll find a large selection of locally-designed puzzles. So many different things to see! And if you find yourself becoming a bit "hangry", buy yourself a slice of Muddy Paws Cheesecake and a bottle of water (or a cup of coffee if they're offering it) and set yourself down for a little while on one of the kids' chairs and relax, and enjoy your slice of delight. Or buy a slice (or an entire cheesecake) on your way out to enjoy later on at home!

I've purchased many things there recently and one item had a huge hole in it after one wear. I went to take it back and was given such a hassle about it. They told me I was over the 30 days ( only a few days mind you) and then they couldn't find the transaction ( even though I had the receipt ). After that I was told I had to exchange it immediately and when I told them I didn't have time I was asked if I " could come back another day and return it". Are they kidding??! Once they finally realized it was purchased online at another store they asked me why I didn't take it back to the Novi Store!! I live 5 mins from the Birmingham store! That's why! Finally they were able to return the item and give me a store credit after telling me numerous times I was over the 30 day policy! If the quality had been good I wouldn't even have been there in the first place. I was in retail for 15 years as a manager and will be sticking to the Novi store where they are nice , have good customer service and are very accommodating!
